This was my first visit to Fonda Lupita. The ordering process was efficient, and my food was ready in just 3 minutes. I ordered a chicken taco to go, which came to $4. I was visiting a friend at the Brightleaf Apartments next door, and by the time I got back, the taco was already cold, suggesting it wasn’t served at the ideal temperature. Additionally, the portion felt small for the price of $4 for a single taco.

Definitely the best food in Sanford, probably the best food in Lee county. Great people working here as well. I’ve never had a better conversation with a bartender than the ones I’ve had with Leo. Frankly, Fonda Lupita is lucky to have him. You will not regret your stop at this place. I recommend the potato taco, it’ll blow your mind.

Bought steak tacos here and a burrito.Let us just say anyone could have done better,by far the worst tacos I have ever had.Customer service is good but definitely a negative on food.

I went because I saw their Instagram and it looked good. Unfortunately, it's nothing spectacular. The major draw they have is the birria, but it's no better than something you can find elsewhere. You place your order at the front counter, get your drink yourself, and there's a buzzer to notify you when to come get your food. There's no reason to leave a tip because no one is serving you.
Parking: There's nowhere specific to park, but a few of the lots around brightleaf are free to customers.

I'm obsessed with the birria ramen!! I drive to Durham once a month to get my nails done. ? Once my nail artist gave me a taste ? I've been obsessed. I grab one on my way back down the highway each time. Flavorful, spicy, and the beef is tender. My only complaint is I can't eat it fast enough. ?

Ordered doordash. I got the ACP Carnitas. It was ok. I wanted more flavor. I thought I was going to get the complimentary chips and salsa like other places....Oh yeah I did add shrimp, Now they were GOOD!!!
Of course the food is amazing but I wish I could give more than 5 stars for service. We thought we placed on online order at the West Main location but placed our order at another location — when I went to pick up order at West Main, they (obviously) didn’t have it. The team came to our rescue and a special order in for us and had it ready for us in just a few minutes. Daniel is the best — he was so kind and helpful. We need more Daniels in the world. First time visiting this place! Delicious quesabirria!!! I thought it was a restaurant where they gave you the Menu and they took your order. The person who took my order was very unfriendly, she always had a not very happy face, we had doubts about a dish and she seemed to have a hard time explaining it to us.

I bought 2 corn tortilla tacos with shredded pork in tomatillo stew. Tacos were very small, had very little cheese, and smelled mostly like burnt corn tortilla. For the price, I expected more food and more careful preparation. Service was quick, but that doesn't make up for the lack of food preparations quality.

This is the chinziest joint I've ever eaten To start, they have no sugar substitutes for unsweetened tea. I ordered 2 Ground Beef Taco De Guiso. They were super small. The beef was cut with carrot or squash. You can see one of the hunks in the picture. There was just a light dusting of what I assume was some sort of cheese. They tasted like watery meat with cayenne pepper and cilantro. One top of that, they had some annoying loud Spainsh rap music playing. Never again!
