This place was the first place we went to for drinks. It had a speakeasy vibe to it with the low lighting. Their menu had a few drinks to choose from so we ordered the Marg, PCN, Cold Days In the Sun, and Feelin' Emotions. The drinks came out fairly quickly. The Marg was not bad, the Cold Days In the Sun was good and the Feelin' Emotions was tasty. It definitely was something I could see others try out too. The amount was not too much so it was good. Good place for drinks if you're in the area.

I loved the ambiance of this bar. The drinks were really delicious. That Walk in the Park was perfect. I went the day after Thanksgiving so it was dead but the service was lovely and I’m always a sucker for dope hip hop being played at a nice location. Walked in to Cappadonna eloquently kickin knowledge through the speakers. I’m just visiting a friend in NC but when I come back, I’ll be back to catch the vibe when people are out and about and not dying from food comas.

Stopped in on a Friday evening at 5:30pm and it was pretty quiet. They did seem to have a lot of tables marked off as reserved and they said it's usually a good idea to make a reservation depending on the party size - we had 4. Good info to have in the future - just in case! I liked the cool speakeasy type vibe! Drinks were super tasty! Not a spot I'd want to have too many at though since they can be quite pricey. But good to have a fun cocktail or two! I loved the Skip & Go Naked drink. It was super tasty! Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. She seemed to really know all about the drinks and was able to answer any of our questions.

Full disclosure: we were here for a special event with a local discount group. We got tickets for free drinks plus a choice of flavored popcorns. While the drinks were fine, we found the atmosphere to be a little lacking. There are other bars in the area with either a more vibrant atmosphere or more funky and interesting decor. With so many options now in Durham, this place just didn't stand out for us. Perhaps they will expand the food offerings someday but popcorn just wasn't a good match with cocktails.

The Glori Bar is a cute hole in the wall vibe in downtown Durham. It’s an arm’s throw from DPAC so parking is plenty. I love the speakeasy feel. I had the Flying Monkey and my friend had the A Walk in The Park. Our server Nicki (spellcheck) was SOOOOOO hospitable, lively, and truly just gave the clear impression that SHE knew service. She recommended my drink to me since I love an Old Fashioned and she created the drink. This drink had bourbon, walnuts, black tea, and some other interesting flavors that enhanced the profile of the drink. My friends drink was a tequila based slightly citrusy feel. Both were really good and strong. The caramel popcorn was YUMMMMM! I’d definitely come back as even other staff members were truly a delight. This definitely a versatile atmosphere for girls/guys nights, happy hours, or dates/celebrations. Fabulous job Glori!

Great cocktails and it's really nice to see a few inexpensive beer & wine options. They also have a handful of low abv and N/A options which is great. The staff and owner are lovely and all the furniture is very plush and comfy.

A new speakeasy style bar in downtown Durham, Glori has a nondescript entrance leading to a basement setting with mid-century decor. We came here for a preview event and the staff was very friendly with fast service. Drinks were good, if a little simple and on the strong end (which I didn't necessarily mind). As part of the event we fortunately received discounted drinks, but the average prices are relatively high (minimum $15 for any cocktail). I have to stay the standout might have actually been the popcorn that they serve which was amazing (sourced from The Mad Popper in South Durham). A fun addition to the Durham drinks scene and I would be happy to come back!
