This is my new favorite Caribbean restaurant in the area. I'm from CT. And our family is part island. It's great to have authentic tasting food for someone to cook and u didn't have too. I get truly upset when I get Caribbean food in an American taste. Grrrr. They are always pleasant and plentiful. I spend a pretty penny and they give u a lot. Everything is delicious.. Good prices too.

I utilized Uber eats as I was feeling under the weather. I will say it was delivered pretty fast I did like that.
However, my macaroni and cheese was dry, hard and the noodles tasted like boiling soapy water. I paid for a side of the macaroni. I did like the portion size of it, but not the flavor at all. I spent over $30.00 for this total order and the rice was okay not as flavorful as before and the brown stew was ok. I did like the cabbage.
I’m really disappointed as the prices are relatively high, but it seems as though the quality in the food has went down and seems rushed now. I really felt like I wasted $30.00 worth of food now and I could not even eat any of the Macaroni it tasted so bad. It should be about customer satisfaction by correcting errors for better food quality and service when too many people are complaining about similar things. Even a discount or reimbursement for the items that were not up to par like the macaroni in my case.

$4.79 each for beef patties that you can get from the Dollar Store for $1.25. Unbelievable. I have over the past 2 years seen prices at this established go up almost 35% every 6 months. Meanwhile the quality of food considerably has declined. This establishment needs to be investigated for price gouging. I have never seen an establishment raise prices and take advantage of a local community. Shameful. I have gone to this restaurant for over 15 years and the last 4 years there is something considerably wrong. Close down and restart if necessary but do not take advantage of the community.

Canned collard greens? Unacceptable.

Very disheartening for a restaurant that was once a staple and had unbelievably great food.

Ordered a Braised Oxtail dinner I spent $33 I had a lot of small pieces of meat and bones I was disappointed. .Plus customer service was not the best

I am uncertain about the changes that have occurred at this establishment. The price of the lunch special has risen considerably, and beverages are no longer included with the lunch special. Additionally, both my meal and that of my colleague were served at a lukewarm temperature. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

Food 0 stars. Service 5 stars. Each time I have come to this place the food portions are smaller, the prices jacked up higher and the food disgusting. Beans and Rice COLD AND RICE HARD INSIDE you could tell it was old. The cabbage was old as well. Meat had so much fat and was also old. I literally threw the plate away and went elsewhere where $36 down the drain for a small plate. When the server was ringing me up I asked about the price increase and she said the cost of the oxtails went up. No! Your owner is just being greedy. Food was terrible so glad the little I did eat did not give me food poisoning. That owner cares nothing about service as far as the quality of food he’s cheap and greedy and clearly doesn’t cook the food fresh! Probably being prepared unsanitary in the back as well. You walk in the place it’s hot as heck. Please y’all do not go to this place! So many more Caribbean restaurants with QUALITY FOOD that you can go too.

Today, I arrived to find out that the portion size for the same thing I used to order is now half the size and for the same price. I don't know what is happening at this place. I've been a loyal customer since it opened 15 years ago and boy it has changed. The service is great because the workers are very pleasant and efficient with getting my order. However, aside from that, the food is inconsistent. The owner keeps jacking up the prices every few weeks. In the past 3 months, the owner has increased the prices at least 3 times. What has me upset is the portion sizes are now smaller but I'm having to pay the same amount for half the portion size of what I used to have. I have decided after all these years to stop coming there. I will cook it myself. It was convenient when I just used to stop by and pick up my lunch or dinner but with the prices as jacked up as they are, to me it is not worth it especially when half the time the chicken is not fully cooked and it just is not flavorful. Plus, I have found other options for Caribbean food in the area so I will not be going there anymore! The best part about this place is the workers because they are great! I feel sorry for them especially it could be 100 degrees outside and there is no AC in that place! You would think the least the owner could do is have a decent working AC so his workers don't pass out! I'm really disappointed because I used to have so much respect for the owner but now I feel that he is just being greedy. Nothing against the workers but just the owner. After today, he has lost a loyal customer.

How can you charge $4.79 for a tasteless, dried up, over-cooked patty when on the same day the Golden Krust in Garner charges only $3.10 for the same patty that is cooked well? That's 55% more expensive than the store in Garner. An absolute rip-off
Also, if you're going to charge rip-off prices, at least spend some money on air conditioning and updating the decor. Floor and ceiling fans just don't cut it in the middle of the summer.
And the service wasn't much better than the patties and decor.
This was BY FAR the worst Golden Krust I have had the misfortune to eat in.

The customer service is horrible and the food isn’t nothing like it use to be and the prices has went up! The cabbage doesn’t taste good at all ?.. And my significant other didn’t like the chicken patties. He said they were dry!

By the way, you don’t get plantains on your plate. Sold separately!

Awful food!! How can you say Caribbean it has no flavor. It was sort of kind of baked, not grilled no smoke flavor at all. The chicken was extra dry. The rice was dry. The cabbage was dry and it had no Caribbean or Jamaican flavors at all. The restaurant is clean; the workers were friendly.ps it’s in a stripmall
