Very neat place. Food was really good though I want to emphasis what so many other reviewers have already stated. The burritos would be so much more enjoyable if the potatoes were cut into smaller cubes. Because they are so large you get some bites that are only a plain potato.

Incredibly flavorful, strong portions, and kind staff, 5⭐️ out of five stars!
Ordered online and they were ready on time. While the burritos are a bit expensive, this was my first experience at Hatch and they were delicious. We got the Steak Lunch Burrito and 2x Adovada con Papas Burritos… they were both delicious! Piping hot and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The flavor was good, if a little salty by the end on the potato burrito.
I only wish they had fresh jalapeños as an option to add to the burritos, but I will absolutely be back here and I’m really excited to try the breakfast burritos!

Folks,
If you are looking for that warm hatch chili hug in very fresh, made to order dishes, then this is the place. Food was terrific and they let me sample the newest enchiladas….boom. I got the Steak and Egg Burrito, smothered with red and green chili sauce and it was very good. It’s buenazo!

When made to order, the burritos are near perfect! If they're pulled out of the warmer at the counter the texture suffers due to the steaming effect while they sit.
My only consistent complaint is the size of the potatoes included in each burrito, they're about twice the size of my preference so I'm much happier disassembling the burrito to cut up the potatoes before consuming to avoid the inevitable 4 or 5 bites that are 100% potato.
Highly recommend ordering smothered style if you can sit down and eat with a knife and fork! Easier to solve the potato problem, and the sauces are delicious. I would not recommend the steak, it's a bit chewy.

Very tasty breakfast burritos, I am such a sucker for a well made one. I do wish the potatoes were crispy rather than sort of a sauteed soft potato, but that's a mild criticism. It would be nice if we had the ability to craft our own breakfast burrito, but the existing choices are good. I had the roasted pork one and enjoyed it.
My girlfriend hates breakfast burritos. She is in love with these.
So excited to see them open here in Durham! Great quality food and portion. The whole team is very kind and friendly. I definitely recommend!

I enjoyed my veggie burrito. Although I wished my burrito was a little easier to eat. It got a little messy when both ends opened up and food fell out of the burrito.

Ordered veggie burrito and green chili chicken burrito- very underwhelmed because they were bland. Could be fixed with additional salt and hot sauce, but for the price I expected more.
Went on a Sunday afternoon- staff was pleasant enough, but very distracted despite it not being busy.
Wayyy better burrito spots in Durham.
Only thing I liked about this spot was the space itself- it was clean and bright and had plenty of seating.

My partner and I moved here from New Mexico a few months ago and had been missing the taste of home. We’re so happy to have found this place, the food is amazing and authentic. Can’t wait to see how it develops over time and special shout out to the staff for being so kind!

Tried Hatch Burritos in Durham NC. I really enjoyed the green chile soup. While it was a bit spicy for my taste, it was still very flavorful, especially after adding sour cream, which balanced the heat nicely. The tortilla that came with it was hot and fresh, and I definitely appreciated that.
Now, onto the burrito. The flavors were there, but unfortunately it was far too wet. There was an excessive amount of sauce or cheese, which caused the burrito to lose its structure and completely fall apart. I was hoping for a burrito that was more crispy and nicely browned on the outside, but instead, that texture was only present on the inside once I cut it open. When I tried to share it, it completely fell apart, which took away from the overall experience.
I’d still recommend giving it a try for yourself, but I’d suggest asking for the burrito with less sauce to avoid it being soggy.
