Despite a few mediocre reviews, I risked it and I'm so glad I did! It was quite busy, but the 2 guys taking the pasta orders seemed friendly enough and up for the challenge. I ordered the Parma Rosa and the prepared sauce was mixed with cubed chicken then scooped into a pan and set on a gas burner to heat up. That does take a few minutes, but they move them around the burners in order so yours is up and ready to go over your chosen pasta by the time you get to the cashier....
Il forno was great during Summer 2024, now that Fall has begun, the amount of food that they put + the quality of Pasta has changed. I got a fetuccini twice and both times the pasta (not the sauce) was cold + it was so loose that it would break easily when twisting with a fork
A cozy place to dine with great Italian food, good service and a fair price. This little gem deep in the Ardennes, in the nice town of Redu, hasn't gone unnoticed. Many people, locals and (mostly Flemish) tourists alike, have already discovered it. Best to make reservations during the tourist seasons and certainly during the weekend. You won't regret eating here!
