I tried J & J's today on a whim because I was in the area. I had their 2 Item combo with fried wings and fried catfish with max n cheese and collard green and slice bread instead of hushpuppies. I also got an order of their banana pudding. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. I had to pull over in Brier Creek because I couldn't wait until I got home. You could absolutely tell the fish and chicken was fried to order and we'll worth the 15 minute wait through their drive through. I will definitely be back to try their other selections. Lord help me to not go here every single time I have a hankering for delicious southern food.

I was so mad that I couldn’t chew faster because I was so ready for the next bite. This was some good food. I had to take a nap after eating. I got the large oysters with fries and potato salad (two starches.) I also got a side of their fish fries. They were so good.

Went twice and both times they were closed 30 minutes before the posted closing time.
I used to live in this area and was excited to be on that side of town again to order a combination plate. I know inflation has gotten rough and I know Seafood isn't traditionally cheap, but $15 for four scallops and five oysters with two small portions of sides it's just a little bit much for me. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I recall the portions being bigger. I also got there Shrimp Box appetizer and that also seemed much shorter on the shrimp than previously. I generally don't mind if the prices have to go up on certain things, but when you feel like the portion size goes down and the price stays the same it just hits differently.
