This place is a hidden gem! Everything about it was GREAT. The service that the staff provides is spot on. They’re attentive without hovering, which is a plus. If you are a fan of margaritas, please make sure you check this place out. Each drink is mixed to perfection and the food is phenomenal. The menu isn’t extensive but they’ve mastered the items that they offer. I’d recommend the Mexican Fries for starters.

I celebrated my birthday at La Mala, and it was wonderful. I was looking for a place with great food, drinks, and a nice atmosphere—and it delivered on all three. There is an nice ambience and the service was excellent. I enjoyed myself and I would highly recommend it for any special occasion—or even just a fun night out!

This restaurant gets the lighting right for a date night! Loved the reggaeton music and attentive staff. Both a mil amores and la chingona margaritas were balanced, beautiful, and had a lot of tajin on the rim. The quesabirria and pulpo + chorizo tacos were great, and the portion was enough for two people. Was a great pre-dinner for a DPAC show.

Oh my, where to begin. I wanted to leave this review right away so I wouldn't forget. What an amazing experience, absolutely amazing service from Edwin. You'd think he owns the place, perhaps he secretly does. They have an extensive selection of hand-crafted mezcal cocktails. I highly recommend El Chavo Del Ocho, it's probably the best mezcal drink I've ever had the pleasure of sampling. La Bichota was also awesome, how clever to create a drink using mezcal and aperol. It's a close tie but they were both literally the best cocktails I've ever had. More importantly, Edwin was an absolute professional and knew the drinks and the menu inside and out. He guided me like this place was some kind of fine dining experience. I'm putting this restaurant on my short list and anytime I'm within 100mi I'll be coming here just because. I don't think I've experienced better service in my lifetime. Durham don't play. I'd also like to note they were playing great music the entire time I was there, the vibe is incredible. Edwin is the kind of guy you want to be friends with, but he already has too many. Thanks Edwin!
