Wish I could give zero stars the menudo is really bland the broth is not well made or rich it is like water with a few sprinkles of menudo mix added you can smell the menudo powder that they used to make it.There is definitely no dry mexican peppers used to make the broth authentic, there was no effort put into making the menudo they took the short-cut way
The Tamales are horrible the filling in the pork one is not even edible including the mole tamale they are both extremely nasty.I was not impressed with the food or the few pastries that I got I will never return don't waste your time or money
There is no other place on earth to get tacos and tamales, don't waste your life
Expensive
One of my long-time local faves. So good
Best baked goods and the restaurant is really good. Tamales are so good but they sell out quick .
Variety of frozen chicken, fish, meat, pork products. And a supermarket offering bakery products, meals , drinks. Decent setting. Reasonable price.
Bad place, they are so rude.
A little bit of Mexico in Durham. A carniceria, panaderia, queso, fresh tortillas , hot food, and great produce!
LOVE the lamb tacos!!
I’ve eaten at this place off and on for about 10 years when I’m in town visiting. I usually like their menudo but this time is was served not hot enough, was a little bit greasy, and was missing the condiments I like (oregano, chopped fresh jalapenos, and the spicy salsita). Also the potato tacos dorados were bland. Finally, the salsa bar seems to be all Herdez jarred salsa.

Awesome tamales
Having spent enough time in Mexico, I feel back there again as soon as I enter La Superior. The cafeteria and bakery alone are worth the trip there. You've got to check this place out if you want authenticity. Go with an appetite.
I love this place. It’s a taqueria, tortillería, panadería, supermercado, carnicería. All in one. Tacos tortas tamales sopes. You can send money here. Fresh tortillas. If you need authentic Hispanic ingredients, this is the place. Their fresh Crema Amarilla is delicious. Their homemade salsas taste amazing. Can you tell I love this place? For anyone wondering, they sell chicken feet here
Everything here is great.
The times I have come to eat at the restaurant (because I prefer to go to other places) the food is less and less in quantity, cold and decreasing in quality.
I used to love this place to eat but I prefer to eat somewhere else.
