Excellent tacqueria! I've been eating there 2 or 3 days per week since finding it near my new office location. Highlights have been the tamales and the gordita al pastor. New items I've tried that are definitely making it into the rotation are the tacos dorados hondureños (rolled chicken taquitos topped with a crema slaw) and the baleadas (flour tortilla with beans, soft cooked eggs, avocado, and meat). The pupusas were also really great and the tacos are on point. Owner is super friendly and always greets with a smile when he's there.

My husband and I decided to give it a try and HOLY COW IT WAS SO GOOD. I honestly had a feeling it would be tasty, but the pure, mouth watering flavors of every bite was beyond my expectations. I got the barbacoa, chorizo and pollo tacos. My husband got the carne asada quesadilla - we split the tamale con pollo. Now if you are a tamale fan... you know how hard it is to find a good tamale. This place has literally some of the best tamales (in a banana leaf) I've ever had. It was like butter, so smooth, creamy, savory and the flavors radiated through each bite. I swear, if you find yourself close by - VISIT THIS PLACE. You will not be disappointed. Also, if you like spicy sauce. Get their red sauce on the side.

Best Taco Place in Durham. I said it! Extremely great prices for large portions and it is so good. A lot of places say there the best but trust me I've tried them all and felt unsatisfied. This place does it for me. Go get their tacos like now!

The bar has officially been set: nothing can possibly top this!! Trust me, you too will agree after you've had cheese and green chili arepas lovingly handmade to order (entirely from scratch) and brought to your table by the extremely sweet and kind lady who makes them, plus a side of the masterfully crafted hot sauce made by the friendly gentleman at the cash. If you are not sure what to eat, that's ok: you cannot make a wrong choice here. Plus they are always happy to help guide you through the menu or suggest things based on your craving that day (just make sure you get that hot sauce, it goes so good especially with the arepas and tacos). I want this family to adopt me so I can learn their delicious ways; until then, I will be back again and again!

The food there are all made fresh to order and so pack with flavor. The homemade hot sauce is especially great and you can buy that to take home. I had gortida was fresh and delicious. Then i tried the tacos which were even more flavorful. Also, cheese and chili arepa was out of this world. This is truly a hidden gem with what might best Mexican food I have ever had.
