Really good pork, chicken and turkey... and they are my current FAVORITE on the east coast for brisket... it's absolutely incredible. Seasoning on everything is top notch and they have excellent sides too. Great mac&cheese, deviled egg potato salad, addicting bay fries, and more. I love the location as well - very unique ambiance.

I had bookmarked this spot for the longest time and after constantly seeing it on Instagram through foodie influencers around the area, I decided to finally give it a try. I arrived around 12:45pm on a Tuesday so I had quite high expectations since Tuesday is the first day it's opened for business and during the lunch hour so I would expect their quality control to be top notch. However, I was quite disappointed that the 1/2 beef brisket was super dry and tough; the leg quarter is for those who preferred smoked chicken to the point where the bones could be eaten + meat dried up; pulled pork was juicy and the ribs were probably the most decent meats from the 4 I tried. The Mac & cheese with voodoo crumble is great; I enjoyed the different type of potato salad (deviled eggs); pickled onions were all good. The pickles were not sour and the bread was dry. Overall, I feel horrible that I didn't have the great experience like others because I think majority of people order sandwiches...I'm greedy and like to try a little bit of everything to get a better "full experience." For $50 I would've expected better quality and possibility a more "cheerful" cashier. We were extremely polite and patient so I would've hope for the same energy in return. I love the concept of the whole "boxyard," but would suggest for the menu to be placed maybe on a monitor where you're not trying to read between people's legs standing at the counter.

Excellent food. The brisket is quite literally "melt in your mouth" delicious. The pulled pork is perfect, tender and tangy with Carolina sauce. The fries could have been hotter, but they're seasoned well. The beans, delicious, The cilantro on top a really nice touch. The Cole slaw was a vinegar based slaw that is excellent. The ribs quite tender and sweet No bad choices.

Ok hot honey chicken sandwich I was expecting a good sandwich, but I got a GREAT one. I don't even think I have words to describe how good this was. It was perfectly crispy, juicy and full of ALL the flavors. I didn't include a photo of the fries lol but they were good too! Very well seasoned, and there were a ton of them. The service was great! We ended up waiting a little longer because I think our order got skipped over somehow, but when I went up to ask about 15min after we out in the order, a girl said that it was coming right up and that she was so sorry for the mix up and gave me a banana pudding for free because we waited. She deff did not have to do that, but I so appreciated it. (I LOVE banana pudding) The vibe of the area is cool because there is so many good places and places to sit up or downstairs. The night we went there was live music which was cool too! The only thing I would advise is that you go here with multiple people and get different items so that you can have a tasting of more goodness! I should have done that, but I don't regret anything about the sandwich, so I can't complain! My mind will be on this sandwich until I can have it again, which is hopefully sooner rather than later Thank you for this flawless creation

Tonight, we ate at Lawrence barbecue; the service time was just unbelievable, and the food quality was poor. I ordered brisket, and it looked like a piece of prime rib. There was a 2-inch piece of fat through most of the middle. The lady at the front desk was fantastic. I've eaten here several times, and a brisket always seems low-quality. Maybe it's just my luck?

We were excited to try Lawrence Barbecue because of the hype online. They were out of many items by the time we arrived, and only had brisket sandwiches and select sides. The best thing of the meal was the brussel sprouts— they were flavorful and crispy. The brisket was tough and dry, and the add-on slaw didn’t help. The deviled egg potato salad lacked salt and seasonings. The water from the cooler was pretty awful— tasted of plastic.

I have never been so unimpressed. The only flavor that comes thorough is pepper. They has good sauce but the meat was not. I wouldn't eat here again. Sorry.

Super tender brisket and awesome baked beans with brisket in it well done!! Some of the best bbq around. Look in the back so you can see the offset smokers used to make your meal and watch them still going!!

Tried them for the first time today, for breakfast! I had the hot chicken on blueberry, wife had the pulled pork on brown sugar biscuit. Both were amazingly good and fresh. Still warm when I got them home. Also nabbed the cinnamon holes, they were dangerously good! :D Located in RTP Boxyard off of Hwy 54, just a great spot with lots of ourdoor seating, and a variety of eats to be had there. Coffee shops, Korean BBQ, bakeries, Wine bars, beer & pizza spot. Like a Brightleaf Square kinda place, but not much retail, just food & drink mostly. Which is fine by us! We'll be back to Lawrence for lunch/dinner soon, especially since it's warming up. A great spot, we'll be patrons for life!

Lawrence is my favorite place to grab BBQ (seriously, the best brisket ever + the wings are amazing + sides that never disappoint) and I love bringing family and friends by when they are in town. In fact, my dad demanded we went 2x in a long weekend visit.Lawrence just released a breakfast menu and let me tell you!! 1000/10, I have been spoiled and will not be able to exist on regular breakfast in the future. Breakfast brisket?! Amazing biscuits?! Blueberry jalapeno jam?! It paired great with the blueberry biscuit + bacon + egg! And build your own sandwiches? Crisp potatoes with onions, jalapeños, and green onions?!Seriously. Go. You will not be disappointed. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I have YET to meet someone who didn’t love Lawrence.Parking: There is plenty of parking at Boxyard and for Lawrence!Kid-friendliness: I know first hand kids love the fries and its a fun outdoor atmosphere!

The good was great, at my table we got pulled pork combo, pulled brisket sandwich, and fried chicken. All were very good according to those having them.

Really solid barbeque. Ribs aren't an after thought - meaty, and once pulled, melt down on the palette. Brussels were sweet, tangy and roasted perfectly. I shall return to try more.

Outstanding food and service. Quirky personality imbues everything here: a wrestling figurine on a barbie jet ski; a cosmic tee shirt that says Death is only the beginning.I got the works: brisket (including some burnt ends), ribs, pulled pork, pork belly, mac & cheese. Every single bite was top 1% of all barbecue I've had.Quick note: the oysters I read about in Southern Living are available only on Friday night going into Saturday. I'm glad I didn't know that ahead of time or I might not have come.Easily a top barbecue experience ???
