The food, ambiance and service was outstanding. As for value.... The name of the restaurant tells you about what to expect about portions (size, in comparison to price). Still, I enjoyed our experience there.

Excellent date spot. Intimate dining room. Excellent seasonal fare. And a cool hi-fi sound system.

We went here as the first stop on our mini-moon and I don’t have enough good things to say! I was able to work with them to surprise my wife with by having a glass of her favorite wine ready when we got to the table, and the food was absolutely outstanding! The oysters were fresh and buttery, and the sourdough was perfect. We got the gnocchi with scallops and the short rib for our mains—both blew us away. The desserts and cocktails were great too! We will definitely be back!

Prompt service and food was quite fast for a full house. I didn’t think the meals my wife and I had were representative of the price but the presentation was top notch. Drinks were way too expensive.

The food quality was fantastic but the service was disappointing. Our waitress never introduced herself therefore I don’t know her name but she had a messy bun with glasses. She had a poor attitude throughout the whole night and was snooty towards us. Overall, she was unwelcoming which hindered the restaurants atmosphere.

OMG ~ I don't know where to start. It's so charming inside where no detail was spared. The staff was friendly, considerate and darling. AND every single food & cocktail item was perfection. We shared the poached shrimp appetizer and the summer squash. We both had the gnocchi as mains. My favorite cocktail was the Phonetic Spelling with parsley oil which was possibly the best cocktail I have ever had. Our waitress timed our meal out so we were on time for our show at DPAC.
Thank you for the best experience ever!

We had reservations for four rather early on a Saturday evening and it was a delightful experience. Warm greeting at the door, *delicious* food, attentive service and just a wonderful relaxed time. We never felt rushed and left happy and full. Thanks!! ? see you all again!

I feel like I've been passing by Littler for years and always seen it closed for some reason until yesterday finally made it in. The food for the price point is phenomenal - I have not been able to shut up about the carrot cavatelli which was not what I expected at all but will bring me back. Good cocktails as well, everything cooked to perfection and interesting flavor pairings. Only minor note is about service - in the near empty restaurant they put the one other patron right next to us which was a little awkward without other ambient noise. From my own time in restaurants/as a hostess that is typically not what you would do. We also arrived a couple minutes early for right when they opened/our reservation when a horrible rainstorm descended and although the staff saw us there no one let us in. Typically I would never ask to be let in early but it was < 5 minutes and pouring rain so I might have thought they'd make an exception. They were very nice otherwise but left me with a bit of a "?" about how good the service is compared to the food. Regardless will be coming back for that cavatelli among other things because it is unlike anything I've ever had and possibly one of the best dishes I've ever tasted.

Littler jumped straight up to be my favorite restaurant in Durham. All of their attention to detail makes their great food and cocktails shine even more. Looking for any reason to go back.
