Local 22 is one of my favorite restaurants in Durham, and that's saying a lot since there are so many good ones. The drink menu is fantastic (I had the Catdaddy Daquiri, which was wonderful - refreshing and citrus-forward), there is wide variety on the menu, and the service is quick and attentive. On this occasion (which was my birthday, which was noted by our server from our reservation), we ordered ALL the items from the charcuterie board. Each of them was great- my favorite being their delicious smoked trout dip. I also had the beet salad, which is well-made and well-balanced. My husband had the special - beef short rib, which he enjoyed (and could not finish - the portion was very generous!) The only item we ordered which we did not like was the Cheerwine BBQ wings. The skin on the wings was not well rendered, so they were somewhat "flabby", and they came to the table lukewarm. The sauce was tasty, though. Our server gave us a free dessert for my birthday, which she kindly packed to go with a candle as we were stuffed. All in all, this was a great dining experience and I would happily recommend Local 22 and return myself.

Local 22 is one of my favorite spots in Durham. The food and drinks are majority locally sourced from NC farms. Never had a bad experience there. Parking can be limited but there are additional spaces on the street near the apartment complexes.

All restaurants have off nights, it was our first time there. The service was very good, great waiter. Our meals were tasty, just over cooked and over priced .
