Always good specials but the on the menu fried chicken sandwich & salmon entree are super yummy. Highly recommend for the food, service & vibe.

Farm to table fresh! Outstanding burger, 2 patties piled high with tomato, onions, lettuce. Too big to take decent bites. But that's not a complaint. Chicken sandwich was from "the biggest bird in the barnyard," according to our server, Brittany, who was outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, professional.

Had dinner here on a quick trip to Durham. Burgers were great as was the special meatball appetizer. Bar was stocked - my husband's Perfect Manhattan was one of the best he has had out!

We had not been to Local 22 recently and I was impressed with the short ribs both I and my husband had. They were perfectly done and the flavor was outstanding. We ate outside since the weather was comfortable, and the only drawback were the rather uncomfortable chairs Otherwise, the meal was very good and we will be back!

Was in Durham for the weekend, did a search and found Local22 menu to be to our liking. Made a reservation for 4 of us, we chose outside, the weather was beautiful, the seating outside was perfect. The service was great, albeit seemed short staffed (as usual, not Local 22 fault) , however our server handled it like a champ. Food was great, drinks were awesome, and dessert was a great touch. Would recommend A+++
Let me first say that this was an unusual experience for Local 22. We have eaten here dozens of times - it is our go-to restaurant. Normally, their specials are to die for, service is welcoming and attentive. So naturally, when I was booking my husband's birthday brunch, this was supposed to be a no-brainer. Instead, we were met with terrible service. We didn't order for 30 minutes because our server was nowhere to be found. The food was delicious, but came out in spurts, with the birthday boy being served last and very late. The bacon was raw. There was hair in the eggs and one of the drinks. The server was smart to add an automatic 20% tip because I don't think I would have been so generous given her complete disregard for our table. She never wished him a happy birthday, much less could be bothered to check in on us. It took 20 minutes to just pay the check. I was super disappointed - it was like I was in the Twilight Zone given all my previous experiences. Must have just had a very off day...I'm confident that the manager would be appalled to hear of this.

dine here often for lunch and it’s always been a great experience. However, during my visit last evening, I was seated near a very loud party in a dark area of the restaurant, and my order was not brought to the table correctly. I had also ordered an alcoholic beverage that was so strong it would have been unsafe for me to drive if I finished it. To avoid delaying my group, I chose to eat what was served and paid without complaint.
For improvement, I recommend that orders be repeated back to customers for accuracy, that lighting in certain areas be addressed, and that alcoholic beverages be properly measured for consistency and safety.
