Although a bit noisier and busier than I'm used to, I'm glad Local 22 is still going strong. The drinks and food were well done and reasonably priced, and it was nice not to feel too rushed.

Sunday brunch on the patio was such a great date idea! Fresh baked banana bread ✅ Apple cinnamon hush puppies ✅ Spicy fried chicken sandwich ✅ (y'all better throw some more hot honey on that thang!) House black bean burger ✅ (first one I've ever had and it did NOT disappoint!) The staff was so friendly, from the moment we entered the door greeted by lovely hostesses to being checked on by management (shoutout Kendall)! Thanks especially to our server, Ryan, for the amazing hospitality, even on a busy Duke Parents' Weekend :)

Farm to table fresh! Outstanding burger, 2 patties piled high with tomato, onions, lettuce. Too big to take decent bites. But that's not a complaint. Chicken sandwich was from "the biggest bird in the barnyard," according to our server, Brittany, who was outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, professional.
Server, Max, was awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was delicious and plentiful. Cool vibes atmosphere. Sit indoor or out on the covered sidewalk surrounded by foliage.

Had dinner here on a quick trip to Durham. Burgers were great as was the special meatball appetizer. Bar was stocked - my husband's Perfect Manhattan was one of the best he has had out!
