We absolutely LOVE local 22! It's our favorite place to dine when we visit Durham! The vibe, service, food, and eclectic atmosphere check all of our boxes! If you go, you have to try the Devil Made Me cocktail, the hush puppies, corn bread, and beet salad with blackened salmon or shrimp on top.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants! The vibe in here is so cool. I love that they have candles lit in the middle of the day. ;) It sets a really fab tone of elegance in a rustic and cool environment. Our server made a mistake and ordered a pimento cheese skillet appetizer for us-and it was on the house... Delicious! We've had the wings, the double stack burgers, the pizza as well as the spinach and artichoke dip. All outstanding. Their espresso martinis are delicious-bartenders and servers alike are friendly and fun! Highly recommend!! (And nice outdoor dining available too)

This place has always been highly recommended by every Durham native I come across, and I finally stopped by. TOTALLY WORTH IT. The decorations inside feel a little bit eclectic and the place overall feels small, but the restaurant's true charm is shown where it needs to be; on the plate. I ordered the jambalaya with chicken while my friend ordered the shrimp & grits. I think every dish that walked by us looked so stunning, we both thought "Dang, I should have ordered that". Until we got ours. We exchanged portions to each other, and both of them were amazing. However, the artichoke dip appetizer is what really stole the show for us! I normally prefer to have something with some protein tucked in, but sincerely, this dip was so flavorful and delicious, I'll happily make an exception next time coming through! I work at a hotel nearby, and now I can tell all of our visitors the hidden gem we have tucked away in Durham!
The food was fine.. Nice spot in a nice area. I went with a group of friends and saw the lady setting burger buns touch her phone and the food with her headphones in. Seems unsanitary.
