I ordered from here as a fluke. I was planning on a different sandwich shop but decided to look up their menu. I didn't want fries as a side and when I saw their homemade chips with toppings I was sold. I has a steak and cheese sub and chips. So good. The next day my husband and I orders more chips and toppings. The very next day we had company and we ordered more chips and wings and a pizza slice. Very impressed again. Next time we are going for a whole pizza. We have lived out here for three years and have been missing out. We haven't eaten in the restaurant yet.

We had the Mattie's Supreme pizza. Toppings and cheese were good. So was the crust. The problem is the sauce. I think they just use tomato sauce out of a can. Should try adding some garlic powder and oregano.

Disappointed... the restaurant is pretty filthy with a dust cake all over the ceiling. We ordered the Signature House Chips which were cold and not made to order... a huge shame considering how easy it would be to make them right. We left without ordering entrees because their laziness and lack of care for the quality of the restaurant was apparent. Didn't want to waste more money.

Jersey girl checking in that was desperate to find pizza like home in Durham. This place is it! Really like their sauce too. Thanks HWY 54 for coming in clutch and being my pizza source in Durham.

Usually stop in for the veg burger which is delicious and very filling. I also really like how they are a bar dedicated to soccer which is unusual for North Carolina. The beer selection is great too and I really enjoy their chips.

I’ve had all good experiences visiting HWY 54 Public House but only after getting food delivered did I realize I needed to review it. Because even delivery was excellent. Somehow the fries and mozz sticks both maintained a hot, crispy texture and were delicious when they got here. I have had different sandwiches, salads, apps, and pizzas from here and have thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve gotten. I really like to get the cheesesteak as a wrap. The pizzas are great too of course. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Was hungry and decided to try something I hadn't before. I ended up getting cheese pizza (pictured) with garlic knots (not pictured) the knots were sooo garlicky and good, and the cheese pizza was crispy and huge. I got a small and it ended up being enough for the next day - which was also a huge plus because who doesn't enjoy leftover pizza. The service was quick, the lady was super nice and really took the time to explain the menu. I did go on a super thunder-stormy night so it wasn't busy, but the place was clean and well kept. Definitely will be coming again to try other menu items.

Idk dude it had hardcore maga antivaxx vibes here the entire pandemic so it ruined the establishment for me. If that's your vibe, this is your spot.

The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t that good either. I got the chicken tenders and salad my sister had the Caesar wrap and we split mozzarella sticks. The sticks were not heated all the way through and the ranch was very garlicy. I got mild and garlic parm on the side and enjoyed both dips. My sister said the wrap was pretty good she got a side of Jamaican something sauce which I tried and it was just spicy. The salad was probably the best part of the meal. All was just ok. The drinks had a funky taste to them. The meals were average price for lunch. Service was good. This was my first time but probably won’t try again

We tried this restaurant for the first time and was pleased. Everyone was extremely pleasant and the food was good. We had the hamburger with homemade chips, onion rings and salted caramel ice cream. We will be back

I've loved coming here for years. My girl Jacelyn is a doll! And the food is very good quality, delicious, and reasonably priced. The variety is great! Pizza, sandwiches (boar's head meat products), burgers(that you can add a local farm sourced egg on which I did and it was so good pls try it), house made chips they do in, idk how else to say it other than like, an Italian nacho style for appetizers (with different variations of toppings). Their garlic knots are delicious, and so are all of the desserts! There are some decently healthier salad options as well; as in fairly more dynamic than just some chopped romaine/iceberg lol

Had the Deep South burger and homemade chips. Great burger with plenty of pimento cheese on it. Great service also!
