Great food. Everything we had was delicious. However, it took so long to get our order taken, it took a very long time to get our food and the appetizer came after we had eaten the majority of our meal, even though we asked for it several times and no one came to refill our drinks, again we had to ask. We were there for an hour and a half.

Mellow Mushroom is located on the American Tobacco Campus. Service was attentive and friendly here, and I liked the older building the restaurant was in. I usually dine out before the performances at DPAC and decided to try somewhere new.
I just don't like Mellow Mushroom pizza very well. I had planned to order a salad, but then saw pizza yesterday and decided to go with that. I should have gotten the salad. I ordered the Great White. The price and size were good. I just didn't like it. It might be the crust I'm not a fan of but pizza is one of those things we all like different styles of.
I don't see myself returning here as I prefer other restaurants. But they have salads and burgers, so maybe I'd like those better.

Mellow Mushroom is one of the few dining options in ATC, so it naturally attracts many visitors—whether they work nearby or are attending Durham Bulls games. The food itself is consistently tasty, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed the quality of the dishes.
That said, I’ve had a few experiences that left me concerned about the service and pricing. A few days ago, my order for three hoagies took about 45 minutes to prepare, even though the restaurant was nearly empty at the time. The staff member who took my order didn’t seem interested in checking on the delay, and each time I asked for an update, I was simply told that “it is getting ready,” without any additional effort to look into the issue.
On another visit, I was charged $17 for just two slices of thin veggie pizza, which felt unexpectedly high for the portion.
I hope the restaurant will take this feedback into consideration. Improving service attentiveness and ensuring clearer value and pricing transparency would make the overall experience much more positive for customers.

Ordered takeout at 6:05, went for pick up at 6:35 when the pick up time was 6:33 and was told it would be another 10-15 for the wings. 15 minutes later we get a call from the manager (keep in mind we are inside the restaurant) to let us know that they are out of wings. Meanwhile, there had been two plates of wings given out right in front of us to people eating in the restaurant. Manager couldn't even come talk to us face to face, they simply refunded us over the phone and offered no substitution for the lack of appetizer. Sad to say we won't be back to our local MM.

They are wheelchair accessible, which is a requirement for me. Staff was awesome and for a very busy night the food was out pretty quick.

Special shout-out to Kaitlin at the Durham Mellow Mushroom! She went above and beyond to make my catering order a success. Not only did she personally handle my order over the phone, but she also delivered it herself. Kaitlin was courteous, professional, and incredibly sweet. She even provided utensils, plates, and serving spoons for the salad, which was such a thoughtful touch. I truly appreciated her professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you, Kaitlin, for making everything seamless!

Paid $70 for two medium sized special pizzas delivered to my house. One with vegan cheese for my partner, one with normal cheese for me. They were some of the worst pizzas either of us have ever eaten: soggy and soupy in the middle, undercooked ingredients, and I’m pretty sure my pizza also had vegan cheese which I absolutely hate. We were starving by the time it arrived so we both choked down a couple slices but I don’t think we’ll be able to stomach the rest. It was our first and last experience at mellow mushroom. Such a frustrating waste of money and ingredients.
