Worst salmon I’ve ever had! It was so bland and just awful! I tried my daughter’s dish also, just so plain.
Great service and delicious food. The chimichurri sauce is *chefs kiss* and goes well with the filet, salmon or the churrasco steak!

One of my fave restaurants in Durham and we always go when in town! Waiters are attentive and will accommodate food preferences and allergies. Variety of dishes absolutely everything is delicious. We love their caprese salad and pasta dishes, the abundant choices of sides. The mushroom soup is the best and finish it all off with a crepe. Best restaurant in Durham hands down.
Vegetarian options: It’s meat centric but they will accommodate and have delicious sides and pastas.
Dietary restrictions: Waiter will help you with Gluten Free and vegetarian!

The appetizers were excellent and the main dishes, two versions of steak, churrasco and filet mignon, were perfectly prepared. There were multiple guests at the restaurant, which made it lively, but not noisy. I also thought the wine list was very good and we enjoyed a bottle of Prisoner Unshackled Cabernet Sauvignon. Very good dessert , Dulce de Leche Crepes, more than enough for two people. Our server, Dee, was also excellent. She was friendly, available but did not hover around us.
This restaurant is basically a little above average than any steak house or decent restaurant in Durham. The fillet was good but not great. The pan seared salmon was okay but not good. The service was fine and key lime pie and chocolate souffle was above average. We were there on a Saturday evening and the place was maybe half full....

Excellent steak house just outside of Downtown Durham. Menu has Brazilian vibes. Filet Au Poivre was cooked to perfection. Tiramisu was a huge portion and was delicious but the chocolate lava cake was amazing.

Dee guided us with great suggestions on the wine and dinner menu. Super prompt with service and made us and our guest feel special. We started with a couple drinks, Cesar and house salad. Cesar salad was huge, good for 2. Hanger steak, filet mignon and homemade fettuccine for dinner - everything was good and gone. Chocolate torte and souffle for dinner with port and b52 to bow on a beautiful dinner. We'll definitely be back. Dee, Karissa, and the staff made our evening memorable.

We booked Metro 8 on Open Table for my husband's 75 birthday. The restaurant and Open Table were told in advance that this was a special evening. The service was poor. We were there for a good, leisurely, expensive evening out. While the restaurant was not crowded, the wait staff still rushed us, took our orders our of sequence and did a clumsy job of pouring the special bottle of wine we ordered. Surprisingly, even though we told the person at the front desk about the birthday, NOTHING was done for my husband.
The food was good but we will not return due to this sort of service.

In town for a funeral and Metro 8 happened to be across the street from the funeral home. The smell of steak wafting from the roof inticed us to try them out.
We were greeted promptly upon entering. We were happy to be seated without a reservation. Our server Dee was friendly and informative, but spoke as if in a hurry. Although the menu is not large , the fusion of Italian and Argentinian was intriguing yet I was in doubt of my entree choice.
We started with the cheese and tomato appetizer and the squash soup. The cheese appetizer needed help. The tomatoes were plain jane ( could have used heirloom, or multicolored cherry tomatoes) the seasoning on top were just dried up shaker seasonings. It really needed fresh basil , garlic, something...even if they offered it with a little Argentinian sausage. It fell flat.
The soup was definitely squash soup. It needed a drop of sherry or chicken broth. It was ok.
We ordered the 1/2 churrasco steak medium with asparagus and the Gnocci pasta in a pink sauce with churrasco as well ( I know it was a strange mix ) The steak was good. Would probably never order the pasta combo again. The asparagus were cooked perfect and not overly seasoned. A dinner roll/bun with a jalapeño, cream cheese was served throughout the dining experience. Another strange combination.
Also the hurried theme of explaining the concept was noticed at other tables nearby. Even the owner who was greeting and serving, addressed tables that way.
Dessert was Key Lime Pie. My favorite thing all night.
The owner dropped off our check and immediately after , the owner grabbed the check presenter book as soon as we placed our card inside. I was not finished drinking my wine and was not in a hurry. There was no one waiting for our table. She came back as quickly as she picked it up. My husband started to add gratuity and sign the bill, but noticed a difference in the bill and what was charged to our card. Upon closer inspection, we found out that she charged our card with a different tables bill. It was 20$ more than our bill. I called the busser/table attendant over and showed him the discrepancy, which he quickly took back to the owner. I could hear her say, " I got it, I got it, I got it " She voided the charge and brought it back promptly, but dropped the check server and said nothing and basically buzzed away. I get that mistakes happen, but it just left us feeling like we were a production line or a bother.
My advice to the owner, slow down , enjoy your guests. Your staff was doing a great job, just remember it's dinner not lunch.
I want to add that my husband and myself, eat out every meal , 99% of our time. We travel for our business and we are also restaurant people. He was a chef and I a server for many years with upscale experience.

We enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner here! Loved that we could make a reservation to ensure we would be seated quickly! Service was great, food and drinks were good and very reasonably priced!
Food was delicious. Jalapeno/cream cheese spread for bread was great. Caprese salad was delicious. Shrimp cocktail was good, Sauce was a little spicy for me. Churrasco steak was wonderful, Overall, a wonderful meal. Will come again.
Never a smile from the receptionist as if she’s mad at the world.
