Fantastic in every way. Steaks and sides were awesome. Get the house special with their special sauce--it'll make you hate ever having steak without it again. Even the bread and butter is an elevated experience. Service was great too but the bar is a touch slow. 10/10 recommend
I've been a fan of metro 8 since it was located on 9th street. We celebrated our wedding rehearsal dinner there in 2009, and have had numerous other work-related events there. My wife and I had dinner here a few weeks ago for the first time in a while. Since moving to Wake Forest, we just don't get to Durham very often. I have been wanting to go here for a while and waited until my parents were in town for a birthday. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing, and I try to only support local businesses so it's a bummer. It was pretty dead on a Tuesday evening - only a couple of tables, so it was quiet and nice lighting. There was a lot of servers who were nice, but it felt like someone was constantly asking to take our plates while we were still eating or grazing app while waiting for food...
