The best taqueria in Durham.
Hands down the BEST tacos in Durham. I went for the first time this week and then went back again two days later. Will start being a weekly delight. Muchas gracias para los tacos maravillosos!

Fantastic food and great service. Definitely the best food truck I’ve found in the area. (And I compare this to Colorado and California).

I heard so many people talking about their "amazing" tlayudas and how it was "just like my trip to Mexico!" After eating here, I think those people are simply excited that they found any place at all that served a tlayuda.
My first red flag should have been no prices visible on the truck or online anywhere. When this happens, businesses can make up any price they want depending on how they feel about you. Well, despite my minor Spanish-speaking ability, I was still in complete shock when I was charged $18! I should have walked away, but my curiosity about this "incredible" tlayuda led me to proceed.
I sat at the table waiting for my tlayuda mixta (mix of pastor and chorizo) and was surprised when I got a little takeout box with the the tlayuda folded up like a quesadilla. In my experience, a tlayuda is huge, loaded with toppings and could easily feed 4 people. This one did not. Since it was folded, they could more easily hide the fact that there was less meat and other toppings. So instead of a loaded slice for each person, we had to eat it in tiny folded bites (like a quesadilla). I opened it up to make sure it wasn't a quesadilla, and honestly if it wasn't for the lettuce and less cheese, I may have never known. The tlayuda also came with about 1-2 teaspoons of salsa, because you don't wanna get too crazy with any hot sauces...
I really don't know what the hype is here and feel completely ripped off for that outrageous price. You're better off driving out to Greensboro, or some other location, that will serve you a fully-loaded, open tlayuda for a normal price.

Wonderful, authentic Mexican food with huge portions! Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Can't recommend this place enough. Make sure to get the horchata, tlayudas, tacos and tortas. They also have a free picnic tables with umbrellas so you can enjoy your food there.

The tlayuda mixta was delicious! It was huge so come hungry or share. Definitely as good or better than ones you get in Oaxaca. The plantains were perfect and delectable. The tacos were spot on.
