I had a really bad experience today. I went in to purchase donuts. The sales person did not know what a jelly donut or a glazed donut was; in fact, she seemed to not know anything at all. She never actually spoke, she only knows how to mumble to herself. Five times I asked her to speak with, and each time she continued to mumble. I then asked several times if she could get a supervisor. For about seven times she ignored me, and only I raised my voice did she go into the kitchen, supposedly to find a supervisor. I waited about ten minutes and neither she nor the supervisor showed up, so I left. On top of that, their selection of donuts was very limited.
So I went to Krispy Kreme in Durham, where my experience was pretty good.

Monuts is the best. I'm not sure they need another 5 star review, but they deserve another 5 star review. My favorites are: lemon curd scone, kale egg sandwich, bahn mi bagel, strawberry lemonade (seasonal), passion fruit sharing cake (seasonal). But I'm never ever not happy with what I order. Yes, it's popular, and yes at peak times you will wait, but the line moves and eats open up and the food comes out pretty fast. Pick up is always ready when they say it is. Monuts is one of those places that makes Durham great.

Not pictured the amazing Apple cider donut I inhaled. It was warm and the cinnamon flavor was out of this world. Small parking lot but easily accessible free street parking in adjacent neighborhoods. Went on a Friday morning and it was busy but the lines moved fast.

What a gem of a place! The food and coffee were absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. This was our first time dining in after always ordering takeout, and we realized just how much we’d been missing! The little touches, especially the sweets and extras, truly make the experience special. This spot has officially earned a place on our go-to breakfast list. Can’t wait to come back!

I was looking forward to trying Monuts, but I left disappointed. The cashier might have been having a bad day? The donuts were good, but not worth the unfriendly service. The environment was nice and cool looking. But I won’t go back.

Whether you're craving a fresh donut or a savory meal, you'll find something delicious here. The atmosphere is lively and great for catching up with a friend or enjoying a meal on your own. While it may not be the ideal place for working due to the noise, it's perfect for a quick, enjoyable bite in a fun setting.

The food and coffee were delicious! And the staff (and other customers) were very friendly! We got take-out and it's so nice to have the pick up line outside and avoid the crowd inside altogether!
Super good donuts and other breakfast items. The staff is amazing and gets people through the line as quickly as possible. This spot can get pretty busy. Parking is mostly street parking, but I’ve never had an issue finding parking.
