All they sell is vegan cookies and avo toast? They really gotta up their game. Many places do great vegan donuts.

I was looking forward to trying Monuts, but I left disappointed. The cashier might have been having a bad day? The donuts were good, but not worth the unfriendly service. The environment was nice and cool looking. But I won’t go back.

Monuts is a fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch! They offer a wide variety of food options and an incredible selection of bakery treats that are perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Whether you're craving a fresh donut or a savory meal, you'll find something delicious here. The atmosphere is lively and great for catching up with a friend or enjoying a meal on your own. While it may not be the ideal place for working due to the noise, it's perfect for a quick, enjoyable bite in a fun setting.

The food and coffee were delicious! And the staff (and other customers) were very friendly! We got take-out and it's so nice to have the pick up line outside and avoid the crowd inside altogether!

Super good donuts and other breakfast items. The staff is amazing and gets people through the line as quickly as possible. This spot can get pretty busy. Parking is mostly street parking, but I’ve never had an issue finding parking.

We had to wait about 30 minutes in line but definitely worth it. Build your own biscuit sandwich was fresh and flavorful, tasty lattes. Sweet atmosphere inside but we close a shady spot outside. Will definitely return!

What I’ve never been able to understand is how Monuts has been in business for almost 10 years and they still can’t efficiently run a queue and get food out in less than an 45 min. It’s hard for me to believe that they are busier than every restaurant in Durham and they can’t get their food out in a timely fashion. Ordering takeout and it’s always an hour wait. I’ve been in NYC restaurants that are busier and they have shorter wait times. I enjoy the food but I rarely eat here because it’s hard to justify the inefficiency…

Duke students and Durham residents alike hype up Monuts, and it always lives up. Monuts is the place to go for unique and delicious sandwiches on amazing bread, gourmet pastries and donuts, and even great seasonal coffees. I’ve been here countless times and have never had anything I didn’t love! I will say it unfortunately doesn’t have quite as many vegan options as I would hope, so I found myself going much less often when I became vegan. However, the avocado toast & maple sriracha potatoes with an oat milk latte are go-tos for a breakfast or brunch with my non-vegan friends. Their vegan cookie is yummy as well and their rotating soups are occasionally vegan. If they added 1-2 more vegan menu items, like a seasonal sandwich offering, it would be an easy 5 stars from me! ⭐️

Vegetarian options: I think it would be quite easy to navigate the menu as a vegetarian, since you can easily build a vegetarian sandwich with any of their breads. I imagine all of their pastries and coffees are vegetarian as well. It is not quite as vegan friendly, but certainly is not difficult.

Delicious food and drinks. We left wishing we had more stomach to enjoy more of their offerings. We were in town and visited a good number of surrounding cafes and this was the best one by far. Fair wage and kind helpful staff.

The high quality of baked goods, salads, and sandwiches is unsurpassable in Durham. The friendly, courteous nature of staff reflects a team spirit, and deep care and concern for Durham residents and visitors alike. They provide an excellent takeout service through Toast, as well as indoor and outdoor seating.
