Veggies were undercooked. Salmon had no flavor at all. I’m not sure what happened, but this used to be a community gem, even during Covid.

The food is pretty good. Made to order. Often the tables are dirty. You order at the counter and they call you back up to the counter when your food is ready. You're served in styrofoam containers with plastic cutlery. The prices are now EXORBITANT for this type of presentation and service. $12 for chicken and rice with some onions and zucchini??? $16 for steak or shrimp. Get outta here!!

I’m honestly so disappointed with my experience at New Japan today. The first time I ordered from here, the food was okay—except the scallops were undercooked. I decided to give them another chance, and I really wish I hadn’t.

All I ordered was a plate of vegetables, and it was just bad. The carrots tasted old, the broccoli was practically raw (and I actually like my veggies crunchy, but not uncooked!), and the whole plate felt thrown together without care.

Then there’s the white sauce… it was completely watered down and had almost no flavor. When I asked the young lady at the register if they had any that wasn’t watered down, she told me, “This is all we have.” I still asked to try some from behind the counter, and while it was a little thicker, it still wasn’t what it used to be.

I’m really frustrated because I gave this place a second chance, hoping for better, and somehow it got worse. I won’t be coming back — the quality has gone downhill fast.

My first time placing an order in almost a year. The food was bland and not very good. There were a lot of customers during my visit which made the experience even more shocking. I will probably choose another establishment in the future when looking for Hibachi Veggies and Sushi.

Shrimp fried rice with salmon with a white sauce is the best.

Best Hibachi I've had in a very long time. The steak, chicken and shrimp are flavored well. The restaurant is very clean.

Pretty standard fast food japanese American place. Service is friendly. But the California rolls were not that great at all. Tasted store bought. But it was a clean quiet place with good prices

The person that answered the phone was RUDE because I requested extra white sauce and she explained in the rudest way because it was through door dash she can’t give me the 4 that usually comes with the meal because it was through DoorDash, but they the people that’s fixing the order and then hung up. I called back and asked for the manager and she stated she was the manager and still was rude. I will NEVER support this business ever again. If I could give zero stars I definitely would have, but that’s not an option. Will be calling back tomorrow to speak with a different manager!

Not worth your time and money. Hibachi chicken and teriyaki chicken tasted nasty. White sauce is soupy leaving the whole plate to get moist and soggy causing us to get nauseous. Veggies are also not cooked or soggy. Only good part was rice. Hate leaving bad reviews especially when the staff were nice but if you’re craving Japanese just skip out and go to cook out or Wendy’s. Cost $29 for two plates and an extra side of broccoli.

I bought hibachi for my daughter and myself earlier today July 15, 2025, now we both have stomach cramps and diarrhea.

I’m so disappointed because I am a faithful customer. But I will not be returning.

We’ve been loyal customers of New Japan for years, but the quality has seriously declined. After a bad experience a few weeks ago, we gave it another try tonight. Unfortunately, the chicken teriyaki was undercooked—I even had to re-cook it at home. It feels like there’s been a management change, and the food just isn’t the same. This isn’t to discredit the restaurant, but customers should always feel confident that their meals are prepared properly.
