Loved this place! Only issue was the drink leaking between the lid and cup—definitely recommend using a straw. It stained our shirts, but we’ll still be coming back!
This place is my FAV when i visit Durham. However, everything is so good i often leave spending way too much on breakfast foods 😓💸
Had a cappuccino with oat milk and double espresso shot. Loved it!
came in for an early breakfast, it was so nice to go somewhere that served food healthy options & food that didn't taste processed
My favorite local coffee shop for their lattes and not to mention their açaí bowls are my favorite!!! Always super friendly
New favorite coffee shop. The amount of care and thought they put into brewing coffee is impressive. Definitely recommend! One of the best coffee shops in Durham
The workers there are so nice and food is good …. But how that manager was talking to his his staff was Unacceptable and then was talking to her loud that I heard her. It made me feel uncomfortable and I heard the whole conversation and And made that little girl cry, and she didn’t even say nothing wrong so unprofessional and walked away from her while she was still talking so just because he did that I would no longer come back there and he should understand we are working in the food industry, and how you treat your workers is how they gonna treat our food because the mood u put them in….so for you manager, I will not be coming back
Decided to come to New World Cafe for breakfast while I was in Durham NC. The food was amazing! The customer service was spectacular!!! Logan served us and was so patient and welcoming. We would definitely be back. Oh, and the hot cocoa….smh…words can not describe how delicious it is(with whipped cream) Yum 😋
It's a great location, the food is alright, very overpriced though, the service is sub par and it only has 4 small tables in a very cramped space so not a good place if you want to work for a bit while you drink your coffee. It does have some good outside seating but in a drafty shaded spot by heavy traffic.
Check your order. I paid $1 extra for an extra piece of cheese and it wasn’t on my sandwich when I got to work.
Otherwise sandwichs were great! Super quick service very pleasant folks working.

Spent $10 on a takeout sandwich. I get home and realize it only half a sandwich. They sliced a sourdough piece and cut that in half. It was decent enough but if you want to spend 10 dollars on a sandwich, at least make sure they give you a full sized sandwich.
Amazing coffee. Also - any time the owner is on the espresso machine, it’s usually worth your time.
This was no exception. Do yourself a favor and grab some coffee here - sandwiches are really good as well.

What a lovely surprise. Was clean, upbeat, a reasonable walk from the Amtrak train station, and had great food. Was even open on a Monday when we were taking a train out of town. There is a nice outdoor seating area. They had gluten sensitive options available including gluten free bread. We had a Thai iced tea to go (great for the train). But I can’t wait to try their independent coffee shop options the next time I am in town.
