I have been a frequent customer at this restaurant for quite sometime. However, my visit today was less than desirable. The customer line was long due to there was only one server. I was told that two of the hispanic servers had disrespected the African American server, and walked out. I was, also, told that management did nothing. I will not knowingly patronize a business that tolerates employees being disrespected. Also, the quality of the food has declined, The cabbage had no seasoning. I will not return to this establishment.

First of all ever since they got a new staff, that’s predominantly Hispanic instead of black most of the Hispanic ladies are very rude and they don’t take the time to go and check with the cook to see what will be served and when it will be served. This food is unseasoned, I typically get the fried chicken, dark meat with cabbage and mashed potatoes and gravy. However, the lady told me today that she couldn’t tell me when the mashed potatoes would come out because they had a new cook like one thing had to do with the other. When I took the food home, I realize that the cabbage was unseasoned as well as the mac & cheese that I had to get because she refused to go back and check when the mashed potatoes would come out. I also had a hair in my food. When she got to my mom‘s plate, she tried to give my mom fried chicken that the skin have been burnt off of and when my mom told her that’s not a piece that she wants it she started to get argumentative with my mom and say all of them were the same. This has been a restaurant that we typically go to however, we will not be going there anymore due to their bad customer service as well as the lack of taste in food.

ITS AUGUST 2025 THE SERVICE PERSONEL THATS THERE NOW IS THE WORST I REALLY THINK THEY ARE TRYING TO SABOTAGE THAT BUSINESS ONE TIME THEY COULD NOT COOK 10PC FISH COMBO ORDER I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO COOK THERE WITH TWO EMPLOYEES ONLY NEED ONE PERSON UP FRONT THEY DONT RESPOND TO CUSTOMER REQUESTS AND THEN ITS THEIR ATTITUDE RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE ITS MY LAST TIME THERE.

This place used to have really good food, now the food is mediocre, the customer service is the worst. These Hispanic ladies could care less about the food or how they talk to customers. Another Durham staple has bit the dust.

The food here is hit or miss! Sometimes it’s decent & other days it’s not! The Hispanic chick with the glasses has the nastiest attitude and should not be working in the customer service industry!!! Every time I try to patron this restaurant, she is not personable & today, she skimped on my portions & had Mac swimming in my mashed potatoes & gravy! The collards had more stalks than actual collard leaves! My mac tasted weird as if an ingredient used was spoiled! This was a complete waste of my money today!

Please do something about your food this food your serving is about on the level of 3 taste straight out the can Yams sprinkled with nutmeg no butter just yuk ! Your slaw taste like chopped cabbage with no taste Whitting fish no taste and fishy with scales left on taste like frozen fish straight out supermarket that can be made at home!! Yes you give a good amount of food but your Quality of food is not good for the price !! Back in the day when this restaurant had good Southern cooks they could make anything taste good you need Quality cooks who put love in there Cooking I know this is hard to find but you get what you pay for..I have giving you chance after chance to improve your food but one day it's ok then you go again its tasteless don't your cooks taste there food with throw away spoons that's what good cooks do dont Serve what you want eat yourself. .$11.00 for a fish plate with scales fishy no seasoning. YAMS straight out the can slaw chopped Cabbage no taste no flavor no mayo, no sugar just not Southern food..
