I don’t know what to say. I worked in the service industry for 10 years, I’ve not really experienced something like this, so forgive me if I sound upset. I had gone months ago because this shop has *THE* best matcha I’ve ever had. I wanted to try something a bit new, so I asked for strawberry syrup ( and also a cookie). There were two people working, both very sweet and amenable until I asked my second question. They accidentally made it with regular milk, which I can’t have. I tried to wait until they said it was my order before saying anything, just in case I was wrong. It was gorgeous and triple layered, green, white, red. Mentioned, “I’m so sorry, but is this regular milk?”. They apologized and made the drink for me again, although this time it wasn’t layered. I am totally okay with this as it’ll end up getting mixed somewhat anyways. What I couldn’t tell though was if there was strawberry syrup bc of the lack of layers. So I asked, the workers looked at each other and maybe seemed annoyed? I’m not sure. They said there was, come to find out there wasn’t but I really didn’t want to bother them again. I left, without strawberry syrup and without a cookie, and feeling like I had bothered them. I called the number that’s online, got the voicemail and it seemed to be the owner. I left a voicemail and never heard anything back. I went back today and I’m autistic, so I maybe approached this incorrectly, but shared this with the worker that was there, they said they were sorry but there was no offer for a refund which I would think is customary, at least for the items I didn’t receive. I know it wouldn’t have been much money, but I do live paycheck to paycheck and this is my “little treat” about once a month. I was also told I parked in front of the entrance, which I didn’t see a sign, but there’s a ramp up to the door that I made sure to park on the side of. I tried to explain to the workers I didn’t know, but still felt like I should have known better with the tone they had (again, may have interpreted it wrong). I’m at a loss as to if I’ll return, but I do want to support them as they are a small business.

Great spot for a coffee! The parking is a little confusing and there isn’t much out front but I was able to find a spot in the lot behind it. My coffee was great and there are lots of drink options.

A super relaxed and positive coffee shop. I tried the delicious PB&J cold brew latte💜
Can't wait to try the fresh roast from Costa Rica. They also donated to the flood victims in the area and there's a fridge/freezer to receive/share donations for the community.

Absolutely amazing! Real honest and delicious coffee from people who really care. The energy is beautiful and the coffee is consciously sourced. My favorite coffee shop in Durham!
I’m a Durham local who is glad to see this space used for great coffee! A clean space to get work in or have a cute date. If you’re like small cozy coffee shops this should be a grand experience for you.
My fav coffee shop in town! The espresso is delicious and if you love flavored drinks- they have a ton of homemade seasonal flavors. My favorite: any drink with their orange syrup! Parking is always a little tight, but it's worth it.

Sometimes I wonder what motivated a person to open a shop, especially when they seem to have minimal interest in the nominal product. Omie's is nominally a coffee shop, but the cup of coffee I ordered could have easily been pumped out of a Motel 6 complimentary breakfast carafe. They don't even offer pour overs, easily the best way to consistently produce a flavorful cup. The barista was short and dismissive to many customers and the vibes were definitely off.

I’ve only been here once, and I thought the coffee was fine, but not incredible. The microfoam on the milk is overly bubbly/frothy. We have some kids, and the ambience is not very not very kid friendly - they used to have a kid area, but he is being replaced by the bottle shop. Kids enjoyed their hot chocolate.
Parking: There’s not very much available parking
Kid-friendliness: The ambience is not encouraging to bring kids ha ha

Walked in to a "lobby" of sorts, with the roasting equipment on the left and the coffee bar to the right. The young lady behind the counter took our order and made our drinks.
Note they do not take cash, only cards.

First time in on the snow day in Durham this week! I got the peanut butter brittle cappucino (latte style) and it was delicious! It was a great price too compared to I spend at other local coffee shops. Cute lil quaint environment and friendly staff. Only wish they stayed open til at least five pm. They close at like 3pm in the afternoon. :(
