Terrible place! I would give it a zero if the alternative were provided. The tables were all dirty, we had to clean it ourselves. The employees were RUDE and refused to give us a plate to use (after we bought a $50 gift cards) claiming they don’t have plates left. That clearly was a lie because we saw two piles of clean plates on the counter inside. The manager was incompetent and clearly didn’t want to keep customers. Extremely disappointed in the Panera At Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC! The worst of all the Panera restaurants I have been in.

The whole place was very dirty. All trash bins were overflowing. Tables were dirty. Washrooms filthy with no TP or paper towels. Ordered an adult meal for dine in and received a child’s meal to go. So disappointing in the entire experience. Won’t be back.

Ordered a Frontega chicken sandwich, got some sort of pesto sandwich. Ordered broccoli cheddar soup, got tomato. My side was chips, got bread. Ordered a choc chip muffin, got nothing.

Stopped by for a late lunch, but had a challenging experience. I won't go into detail, but in short:
--The dining area was disgusting (food ground into carpet and seats, universally sticky surfaces, empty napkin dispensers, dishes/trays/garbage left behind)
--The restaurant (the dining area and presumably the kitchen) were unbearably hot
--The service was unfriendly, unhelpful, and bordering on rude and surely
We ended up asking for a refund after being unable to get a clean table, being unable to clean a table ourselves (no napkins and apparently no ability to get any), and deciding it was altogether to sweaty and crowded to stay. If we had seen inside first, we would have saved everyone a lot of frustration and just not ordered at all, but we were asked to order at the contactless kiosk inside the mall (outside the restaurant), so we had no idea what it was like inside until after we paid. I will not be returning in a hurry. I hope the management can figure out a way to set their staff and customers up for better experiences (the staff seemed as overwhelmed as we were, and I'm sure they were also suffering with how hot it was in there).

I go to this place on a regular basis. Most of the time everything is wonderful. The last time I noticed the staff was somewhat disgruntled , and seemed a new way that I came in during a slow time. I hope this is just a fluke and will be corrected the next time I visir, this restaurant.

Stephanie is one of the kindest, friendlinest workers. She is prompt with orders and is always upbeat and cheerful. Her husband is equally personable and helpful.

Ordered a sandwich and a salad to go. Got a half-filled salad container and a chicken salad sandwich that tasted like it had gone off. It was so bad that I needed to rinse my mouth. Called customer service who said they would give me a credit for a new sandwich, but they couldn't just order a new one. Went to the store (again during a work day) and the cashier said there was no credit. Manager would not help at all. Really bad location.

there's something weird and nasty stuff in their hot dark roast coffee container for the second day now. when i ask the staff they just don't care

Poorly run. Old wilted/yellow lettuce in salad, no paper towels in ladies room, no drink cup lids, let tea dispenser sit empty, tables not cleaned. Very disappointing and not up to Paneras standards.

Sean is extremely unprofessional. I will not return to this establishment. As a manager, he failed to demonstrate adequate leadership skills, arguing with a customer and treating employees poorly. He requires additional training to effectively manage the location and interact with customers.
