I’m a sucker for cute shops and this one is at the top of the list. What a beautiful shop! First there Lavender Latte is perfection ? it’s smooth and creamy and if you add extra Lavender you won’t regret it. I also like to grab an Ice coffee w/ Lavender syrup when the weather is good. My son loves there Cheddar biscuits that they have everyday where you can just grab and go. I treat myself once in a while to the chocolate bar and it’s always fresh. I haven’t tried much of the food to be honest but I shop here often. They have everything you need for ANY occasion, and any person. Actually there selection of Black children’s books is one of the best in the city. My son try’s to get a new book every time we visit. I really appreciated seeing all the black faces on books because sometimes we are left out, and seeing my son’s face light up when he saw someone who looked like him was all the more reason to shop. From plushies, to candles, to wine, to cookbooks, to candy there literally is something for everybody. In addition to the store just being super cute it’s in America Tobacco campus so after you shop and grab food you can lounge on the grass or rocking chairs and take it all in. Bravo ?? to this shop and I would definitely suggest this place for out of towers to locals.Parking: I’d download the app to pay for parking. Super easy!Kid-friendliness: Perfect for the little ones.

Best shrimp BLT I have ever had! Been getting them for years and they haven't changed! Just plain awesome!

P&O in one word is delightful! The sandwiches are fresh and filling. The service team is always helpful and friendly. And the outdoor patio and indoor gift shop are the perfect spot for a lunch break. 12/10 recommend!

I was around the corner on a freelance job, and I needed a pick me up as I hadn't had any coffee that day. I went in got my coffee very quick and It was very good. I don't live in Durham, but I'll have to come back soon and see what else they have.

Very cute cafe in a bookstore! I recommend stopping in. They mostly have sandwiches and lunch items and typical cafe drinks. You can shop around as you wait for your order to be ready and you can find a lot of cute things.

Nov 2023: New location & some changes to the sandwiches. The pamento cheese sandwich now has less pamento cheese & more vegetables: ? and red and , ?, and sprouts. It tasted very fresh and good but isn't the comfort food sort of sandwich it used to be. As my Dad said, "Sometimes I just want to eat something unhealthy." The store still has fun gifts to buy.3 years ago or more: Have tried several sandwiches and they are good. I feel like the hot pamento cheese sandwich is quintessential. They are generous with the pamento cheese and it is TASTY! Casual atmosphere and a store that sells a lot of random useless but interesting things.

I've always loved P&O for the quirky gift shop, but I recently tried their food for the first time and I was upset that it took me so long! The BLT with pimento cheese is exceptional. The sandwich was huge! They are also the only place in town with birch beer and the outdoor seating area is unbeatable on a nice day.

Too loud at the time I was there, 12:30. But, by 1:15 is, it was very pleasant. The BLT was scrumptious.Parking: At lunchtime, parking was free but entrance wasn't easy to find for me.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really unless you dine on the patio.

Took a little too long to get a couple of sandwiches considering how empty the place was. I didn't end up liking the one I picked very much but that's personal preference. The one my bf got was great though. The store is adorable, more my sister's vibe so I sent her pictures. The pink couches look like forbidden strawberry marshmallows. I'd say it's a little pricey all around. I'd definitely go back to try other menu options.

Everything was great but it can get busy for lunch, highly recommend ordering online and then eating there when you pick it up. Parking is close by in the south deck and it's free for the first two hours. Just go up to the parking kiosk and put in your license plate number.Vegetarian options: Good veggie options but more limited vegan options. If you eat eggs and cheese you will be very satisfied! I recommend the cheese biscuit and sub avocado for the bacon.
