At first, the Pelican Snowballs were the best icee I have ever had. The ice is so soft and they DO have a large variety of flavors. Then I bought an ice cream maker to use at home that you can also make icees in. The icees I make in my ice cream maker are even better than Pelican Snowballs. The quality and texture of the ice is phenomenal when made in the ice cream maker. The customer service has been poor the times I have been to Pelican Snowballs. The Durham location is kind...
Lines were long but moved very quickly. Kids loved all the different flavors. It was a little difficult to find a spot to sit bc previous guests had spilled snocones and the bumblebees were enjoying those leftover treats.
Best SnoBall I've had outside of Southern Louisiana. I grew up in the New Orleans area and snoballs were everything in the summer. Pelican's is a taste of home!
