I ate at Penn Station subs twice in 1 week. The staff was really nice and there is a small seating area. I ordered the steak and cheese which was pretty good. I went back and tried the Italian, East Coast style which is my favorite. The sub could be a little bigger for the price but overall was pleased. I’m looking forward to going back in the future.

Came in to enjoy a sub on October 27th and was able to enjoy my food outside of the manager (didn’t catch her name) berating the other staff behind the counter. I understand issues but her handling was unprofessional to another degree and overall impacted my experience. Based on what I overheard she only works this location like once a week so outside of Mondays you should be good come in

Literally me and 1 other person ordered. Waiting 20 plus minutes for a sub and small fry. Sat here and watched a whole volleyball game while workers had a heart to heart convo. Trash place. Never coming back.

The owners and workers here are so nice. The food is fantastic and they are always trying to go above and beyond. I'll never eat another sub anywhere else. Thanks for being awesome.

This is an updated review: Kelly reached out to me when I experienced an issue on one of my frequent visits to see what she could do to resolve it. She went out of her way to WOW me back and now when I stop in I absolutely feel like family. Thank you Kelly and family for taking care of your customers the way that you do!

Absolutely delicious food! Two of us shared a giant Philly cheesesteak sub and large fries. It was a perfect amount of food for two and so yummy! It was our first time eating at a Penn Station and we can’t wait to go back. Staff, from the cashier Dena to the chef, were so nice and showed they really cared about us enjoying the food. Great place for a lunch alone or with friends/date.

I went here today as I've not been in several years and always loved the subs here. The service was horrible! The young man taking my order was rushing us, huffing, and not friendly AT ALL! Needless to say, I told him to forget it and walked out. If you don't have customer service skills, don't work with the public. Easy!

The best sandwiches around. The customer service can’t get any better. I can’t say enough about this place. They had a ghost pepper cheese that changes life’s lol.

My sister and just ate here for the first time. We loved it! Both the GM and the assistant manager were friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and really good. The place is immaculate. We’ve lived in Chapel Hill about a year and a half and have been looking for a sandwich shop that we like. We found it!

I had the chance to be the first customer to try the new Ghost Pepper cheese at Penn Station, and wow, what an experience! 😅 The employees warned me it was spicy, but I figured I could handle it since I have a pretty high tolerance.

The first bite? Absolutely delicious. I thought, “Hey, this isn’t too bad!” But after the second or third bite, the spiciness kicked in and hit hard. Good thing I had an ice-cold soda because I needed a sip after every bite! 🔥

It’s super tasty but definitely brings the heat. If you love spicy foods, I recommend trying it—just proceed with caution!

Also, a shoutout to Amanda (in the photo), who was so friendly and recommended this cheese when I was just going to grab Swiss. I’m glad I gave it a shot, and I’ll definitely be back for more. The staff at Penn Station made the whole experience even better!

Turkey, ham, pepperoni, GHOST PEPPER CHEESE, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, salt, pepper, vinegar on a multi-grain bun 👌🏽😋🥪

Dietary restrictions: There are vegan options, my wife is vegan and she enjoys it here. Said it was one of the best subs she ever had.

Told the lady (wish I would’ve got her name)

When I walked in the store greeted with a smile and the other lady working was amazing as well.
Just finished my sub and it was amazing definitely will be back tomorrow
