As always great food and service
Wonderful service Tiffany and will be back again
This is an updated review: Kelly reached out to me when I experienced an issue on one of my frequent visits to see what she could do to resolve it. She went out of her way to WOW me back and now when I stop in I absolutely feel like family. Thank you Kelly and family for taking care of your customers the way that you do!
Absolutely delicious food! Two of us shared a giant Philly cheesesteak sub and large fries. It was a perfect amount of food for two and so yummy! It was our first time eating at a Penn Station and we can’t wait to go back. Staff, from the cashier Dena to the chef, were so nice and showed they really cared about us enjoying the food. Great place for a lunch alone or with friends/date.
I went here today as I've not been in several years and always loved the subs here. The service was horrible! The young man taking my order was rushing us, huffing, and not friendly AT ALL! Needless to say, I told him to forget it and walked out. If you don't have customer service skills, don't work with the public. Easy!
The best sandwiches around. The customer service can’t get any better. I can’t say enough about this place. They had a ghost pepper cheese that changes life’s lol.
Five star pickup experience.
Five star classic Italian sub.
My sister and just ate here for the first time. We loved it! Both the GM and the assistant manager were friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and really good. The place is immaculate. We’ve lived in Chapel Hill about a year and a half and have been looking for a sandwich shop that we like. We found it!

I had the chance to be the first customer to try the new Ghost Pepper cheese at Penn Station, and wow, what an experience! 😅 The employees warned me it was spicy, but I figured I could handle it since I have a pretty high tolerance.
The first bite? Absolutely delicious. I thought, “Hey, this isn’t too bad!” But after the second or third bite, the spiciness kicked in and hit hard. Good thing I had an ice-cold soda because I needed a sip after every bite! 🔥
It’s super tasty but definitely brings the heat. If you love spicy foods, I recommend trying it—just proceed with caution!
Also, a shoutout to Amanda (in the photo), who was so friendly and recommended this cheese when I was just going to grab Swiss. I’m glad I gave it a shot, and I’ll definitely be back for more. The staff at Penn Station made the whole experience even better!
My sandwich:
Turkey, ham, pepperoni, GHOST PEPPER CHEESE, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, salt, pepper, vinegar on a multi-grain bun 👌🏽😋🥪
Dietary restrictions: There are vegan options, my wife is vegan and she enjoys it here. Said it was one of the best subs she ever had.

It started with amazing customer service on the phone.
Told the lady (wish I would’ve got her name)
That it was my first time
When I walked in the store greeted with a smile and the other lady working was amazing as well.

I'm kinda confused on how your sandwiches are marked as to what the bread type is supposed to be, and my sandwich is marked as being on white bread, but it's actually on wheat. How did this sandwich get wrapped and no one went "wait a minute, this doesn't look right, this isn't the right bread."? Really unfortunate. I order from here regularly but now I've learned I need to open my sandwich and make sure it's right before I leave. New staff new problems in guessing?
As a momma of a 8-week old, I have to give this establishment a 1-star review for not having a baby changing station.
There is plenty of room for one, see photo, so I’m not sure why they don’t have one. I was desperate to change my child and had to change him on the bench outside.
The food and service was great though LOL!!
To the owner, if you install a baby changing station, and notify me, I will update my review to 5 stars.

Let me preface this by saying, when I was stationed in Great Lakes, my family and I ate Penn Station all the time. They had one in Grayslake and Gurnee and eating at one of these locations was a very regular occurrence.
I got stationed in Norfolk in 2014 and there isn't a Penn Station anywhere near where I live or work and we were pretty upset about it. We eventually tried the one in Midlothian, and it was pretty terrible. They didn't do a good job representing the Penn Station brand and we left disappointed.
Fast forward to 30AUG24, my wife is about to start a residency at Duke and we are in Durham looking for an apartment for her. We stumble across this Penn Station and IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!
The food was fresh and the place was clean and operating at a level that you would expect from this fine franchise!! I wish it wasn't three hours away from where I live, but it'll just be that much nicer when I go to visit my wife on the weekends. Thank you Penn Station crew for redeeming the good name and reputation of our beloved sandwich shop!!

Visited for a quick bite with my Mom on a Sunday evening. Service was quick and friendly, greeted upon entry. I ordered a veggie sub that is admittedly odd (mushrooms grilled in teriyaki) the ladies double checked verbally and they nailed it. Mom enjoyed her hot Italian sub and fresh cut fries. Restaurant was super clean - I work in the surgical field and my Mom has a Masters in Tourism Hospitality so our standard of cleanliness is harsh. Please come see this crew and enjoy the delicious subs and soak up some good vibes inside or sunshine at the tables outside. Good food for reasonable prices and kind folks who take care of their customers. We will be back soon!

Whew this restaurant, some people can be so rude. I won't be returning to this restaurant because the lady that was working today had a nasty attitude. The food wasn't good and it was rung up wrong. It was a young man in there that was very nice that put the order in but the lady said he did the order wrong but that wasn't my fault. He said to order the sub as meal to make it cheaper but she got mad seems like. It really shocked me. One of the subs I ordered was even made wrong. Fries were horrible. The restaurant was nice and clean. You may have a better experience. Enjoy
