I loved the ambience on a rainy day. They should go for more chill hop music and the TV should have a history of their shop, the coffee and and more visuals

My Americano barely had any taste. Like hot brown water. Not worth $5. Staff was polite however and the place was clean and pleasant. Just don't expect a real cup of coffee
Coffee was astounding Katie made THE best sweet potato pie latte. Service was perfect couldn’t ask for a better go to coffee place!

Great coffee with smooth flavor and beautiful latte art. A cozy spot to enjoy a well-made cup — simple, warm, and satisfying. Perfect for a quick coffee break!

I placed an order online of two turkey sausage breakfast sandwiches, with 2 fruity pebble waffles and 1 og waffle. When I got home with the order, I realized they put bacon on BOTH sandwiches (which we don’t eat pork) and they gave me 1 fruity pebble waffle and 2 og waffles. I understand mistakes happen, but this was very disappointing.

Don’t get coffee from here. I do not know their beans were old or they burnt their beans. Both coffee and latte tasted very bad.
But the cafe was cute.
I loved this place the moment we walked in. Everything about it was great!

We enjoyed the breakfast burrito (great flavor & size!) and a cortado (excellent!). I want to try the avocado toast. My husband and I look forward to going back to People's Coffee. Really nice people and great service.

Friendly service, excellent chai, really fresh ingredients used for their açaí bowls and smoothies. I’ve also enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. Will definitely keep going back :)

I recently visited The People’s Coffee (7830 NC-751 Unit 120, Durham) and was told I couldn’t bring outside food or drink. When I mentioned there was no signage, the manager said it was due to “food and regulation guidelines.” From my research, this appears to be a store policy — yet there was no posted notice, and other cafés like Starbucks or Chick-fil-A don’t enforce such a rule (globally respected brand). As a minority citizen and woman of color, I left feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I won’t be returning and wanted to share my experience so others can make informed choices.

Disappointing first time visit. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. It tasted like a weak one-shot latte made with vanilla soy milk, bad enough that I didn’t finish it. Cute atmosphere, nice staff, but I won’t be back.

Waited for 15 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and iced americano (the easiest drink to make). No complaints with the breakfast sandwich but they did completely forget to make my coffee. When they brought out my food, I told them I was still waiting on my coffee — they started making it then. I’m not sure what type of system they have for drink orders — but it’s not working. As I was waiting, I did see they forgot to make another customers drink as well until they followed up about it. Just frustrating when you see people who ordered after you get their more complicated lattes and matcha drinks. It’s fine, but you may have to remind the barista about your drink order if you’re waiting awhile.
