I've eaten breakfast here a few times due to the voucher provided to rewards members. The food is ok, the coffee is terrible and the service is slow. I've also had a drink at the bar in the evening, they have a few local beers on tap, it's usually empty.

Awesome vestibule with so many windows. Even on a rainy day it just feels good. The menu and bartender is awesome with genuine conversation. I absolutely suggest this place and FOR SURE will be back. The food is locally sourced when possible and they have local beers

Alert and helpful staff upon arrival that got us in quickly. Lovely room with hardwood floors and a cool bathroom. Would definitely stay here again, zero complaints.

The goat cheese BLT with perfectly crispy Mickey D sized French fries and a Red Oak draught was delicious. Limited but upper-middle spirits selection. Great service at the bar. Neighbor had salmon, said it was fine, but really the chèvre BLT was superior. Worth trying if you're near RDU.

We've been staying a few days at the Hotel Indigo, which is home to this nice little bar and bistro. We had the pleasure of meeting Tony, the chef. He is charming, knowledgeable, and passionate about the food he makes! The first day, I had the Carolina Barbecue (minus the bun). It was delicious and tender, and the barbecue was a perfect blend of spicy and smoky. Tony also told us about the special and unique sauce he created for the wings, and they are absolutely amazing! Truly some of the best wings I've had. My son and my husband loved the newly featured sweet potato fries, which were cooked to perfection. I had the regular French fries, and they were so good that I got them last night, too! They were also seasoned deliciously and cooked to perfection, I wouldn't change a thing about them. The first night, Alicia was our bartender, and she was very kind and proficient with our drinks. Last night, DJ was our bartender, and she was such a pleasure to meet. All three of the restaurant employees, Tony, Alicia, and DJ, are assets to the hotel, and I'm so happy that we went to the bistro in spite of the previous Yelp reviews. I hope that more people will try it!

I went with my family to Cedar Fork Bar & Bistro Labor Day weekend in 2017; I think the date matters because I just read past reviews and they are all over a year old. Clearly the Hotel Indigo has implemented an impressive change by hiring skilled, innovative chefs and it shows. I found Cedar Fork Bar & Bistro to be an excellent restaurant with an interesting menu and outstanding food. The atmosphere was casual/modern; the prices were competitively fair; the service was welcome and friendly. We thought we were settling for hotel food, but delightfully discovered we were in for a fine dining evening. My first dining experience at Cedar Fork Bar & Bistro in the lobby of Hotel Indigo was so good that we made plans to eat additional meals there rather than elsewhere in Durham. I highly recommend that anyone desiring a fun food experience plan to stop for a bite at Cedar Fork Bar & Bistro. No reservations necessary.

It's in a hotel, where food options can be a hit or a miss, so I had to take that into consideration. I tried. Maybe. Maybe a simple "no" would be better than "oh hell no". Two stars then, maybe. The only reason this isn't a one star: The burger. It was cooked how I asked. On the other hand, the pimento cheese topping tasted more like cheese whiz with red pepper added. And, the texture was off. Bleeech. The accompanying fries were both raw and burnt. How do you even do that? Maybe the kitchen was having an off day. Maybe. Even with that burger, this place is overpriced for the quality. Although the food wasn't the fault of the bartender/waiter, he didn't do himself or this place any favors with the lack of service. Sure he was civil, but since I didn't fit into either of the categories to which this place caters and to whom he devoted nearly 98% of his time while I was there: airline employees and those dropping money at the bar, my presence was at best a nuisance. Seriously, he couldn't even tell the person talking to him when I was waiting at the register to pay to hold off her chatter until he finished taking my money and giving me change. Yes, that's why I tipped the way I did, Mr. Waiter. If I'm not the recipient of passable service or of your full attention when it comes to an exchange of money, then you're not the recipient of my money. See how that works? Cause? and Effect? Maybe it's better at breakfast. Who knows? I'm not inclined to find out. Maybe they should just tell everyone it's only open for drinks or for service to airline employees. For everyone else: Skip it. Uber-it to a nearby restaurant or order in.

Nice modern decor but small restaurant and bar.

This is the restaurant/sports/coffee bar in the lobby of Hotel Indigo. I stayed here on a business trip and had breakfast twice here, so my review is based only on that. Day 1: I got biscuits and sausage gravy which came rich as expected, but I actually liked it! The biscuits were the flatter, English Muffin type so it wasn't super puffed up. There was more than sufficient gravy to slather everything yet it had good sized-chunks of sausage to make it a filling meal and not a side dish. Side of fruit was mediocre - not really sweet but its probably out of season (my bad!) 3 stars. Day 2: I was one if the first customers and it took a while for the food to come out. I got the Carolina Benedict which is supposed to have spicy sausage, poached egg, and Hollandaise sauce. Egg was a bit overcooked (i.e., no runny yolk), and either the Hollandaise had way too much lemon and/or the muffin was sourdough, but the dish was way too sour for me. 2 stars. At night the place does get lively with sports-bar like vibe. Service was friendly. However, breakfast isn't the best here.

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo after a day of flight cancelations. Staff at the restaurant was very friendly. Food was fine. They do not have a kids menu, and if your kid is finicky you may have issues feeding them here. My kids are the hotdogs, plain. They were good looking dogs, but "too gourmet" for the kids. I had the BBQ quesadilla. It was good. Washed down with a local IPA, Hoppyum, which was excellent. Overall, better than average limited service hotel food.

No doubt that service is lacking a bit. That is the only reason for only three stars. Seemed to be no enthusiasm to help guests. To address the food, the Chef did an excellent job of preparing my meal. I was very surprised at the quality of the ingredients. You would not expect some of the eclectic dishes their menu has, but they make it work. If you stay at this hotel, I recommend you give the food a try and don't expect service with your meal.

Yeah it's true, service was definitely not a prerequisite to getting hired. I'm not even sure they know they don't know. The food was very average for the price and I got a discount. Ordered salmon and tried to explain I didn't want it over cooked and dry and the chefs response was that it wasn't sushi grade so he didn't want to over cook it. When the second piece came out the same way I wasn't offered an alternative and when questioned I explained my dissatisfaction for the quality vs price and inward told it was hotel prices. Exactly why I was going to the restaurant down the hill.

Worst service I had to leave and go somewhere else for breakfast will worth the drive. Had bad service two days in a row, I don't know why I give people the benefit of the doubt

CedarFork has friendly enough staff, but the food is severely lacking. I got a spinach salad with steak. The steak was without a doubt the worst steak I've ever had in my entire life. Disgusting and inedible, the "steak" was chewy, fatty and worse than what Taco Bell passes as carne asada. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are selling horse-meat or grade F beef. Not trying to be funny, it was that bad.

Nice Joint inside the Indigo Hotel. Food was well made. I will go again
