Philly Steak Factory

I recently had a disappointing experience at Philly Steak. Since they were closing soon, I called ahead to place my order for a whole Philly cheesesteak with everything on it—mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and steak. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened the sandwich, I found the quality lacking. The lettuce and tomatoes were visibly old, and there was only a small amount of steak, mostly concentrated in the middle, leaving large sections of just bread. Overall, the sandwich felt poorly made and far from what I expected.

Since the restaurant had already closed by the time I discovered the issues, I couldn’t call or return the sandwich that night. Instead, I waited until the next day to share my experience with the owner, hoping for some kind of courtesy, perhaps offering to remake the sandwich or a gesture to show they valued customer satisfaction. I’ve worked as a restaurant manager before, so I understand how important it is to ensure customers leave happy.

However, when I spoke with the owner, he was very nonchalant about my concerns. He asked if I still had the sandwich a day later, and I explained that I had thrown it out. His response was essentially “oh well,” and he showed little care about my experience.

Given this lack of concern for customer satisfaction and the poor quality of the food, I wouldn’t recommend Philly Steak. The restaurant is often empty, and after this experience, I can understand why. An owner who cooks and manages the business should prioritize the quality of both the food and the customer service, and unfortunately, neither met expectations in my case.

Definitely doesn't live up to the name! The had both the philly and fries in a weak paper bag, loosely wrapped. The cheesesteak? flavorless and bread soggy. The fries, even with seasoning were straight bland and tasted like paper. No wonder they're so cheap

Business has a new owner and sadly the good is terrible. Service is super nice but food ?????. I’m going to miss the old owner and his food.

At first taste the bread was bland and the meat had an old or rotten taste to it. Never again

I’ve been coming here since the early 2000’s. I get the same thing each time, a cheesesteak. I’m not sure what’s going on but the quality is poor. The steak taste….odd.

I'm 28 and I've been going to this place since I was 3. This is the best Philly you could ever purchase. I don't care what people say in Philadelphia. This is the best sandwich period.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid - gotta be going on almost twenty years now. This place has some of the best and most affordable Gyros and Phillies in the triangle. Cant recommend it enough.

Man this was the nastiest chicken Philly I’ve ever had. Tasted more like crockpot chicken and had my bread super soggy. Then the cheese was only melted on the top and not through the sandwich (it’s mozzarella so it doesn’t melt correctly). This just wasn’t it. Seek elsewhere

We are out and about every day for work around the State and this is the first time we come to this.place for a quick bite.And oh Wow!!It's just a Philly cheese Steak, right?Well let me tell you...Big flavor.We are glad we came by, it really hit the spot the owner just got the restaurant so give him a break on the way that the place looks. In the end is the food that matters.We are coming back soon!.Thanks for feeding our hungry bellies. ??
