extremely extremely slow food service. I'm not sure if the kitchen was short staffed or overworked, but we waited over 45 minutes for some chicken tenders. the only person waiting tables was running around frantically trying to do the work of 5 people. he was still nice and apologetic, but what started out as a short stop for some drinks and apps, turned into an almost 2 hour long waiting game.bar service was great, environment is welcoming and fun when games are on

I travel to Raleigh on biz very regularly since my home office is in the area (previous IBM building). When I'm In Raleigh/Durham I exclusively stay at the Doubletree because of this restaurant. The bar tender Kevin is a local favorite and is fantastic behind the bar - he remembers what everyone drinks!!Have a seat at the bar or the restaurant and have a social conversation with other folks staying at the hotel. Everyone from airline folks to people in town for a convention or a college football game. My point is the atmosphere is wonderful with great people including the staff. My favorites on the entree is the chicken Danielle which is actually like a surf and turf, followed by the shrimp and grits. That said, I also had the Pines salad w Salmon and that is pretty fantastic as well. Fried calamari is super fresh and delicious as well.Literally, I haven't had anything here that I didn't like AND, if you're staying there, you don't have to drive anywhere! or order room service, cuz you can!!I'll come back here again and again.

Met a friend for dinner. Great customer service and atmosphere! The Ceasar salad was outstanding and the wings were good. My pizza was just ok as it seemed reheated or maybe frozen. Will return to try other items. Drink specials are great!

I think the bloom is off the rose here. What were nice reviews are now years old and I am not sure what it was, but something happened. My cobb salad was assembled by rote and what little chicken it had was cooked within an inch of its life and dry, to boot. Flavor? What is that? Even the ample amount of bacon didn't save it. The server disappeared after the food dropped, too. Sad to say that one dinner here with a 4 night stay was enough, tyvm.

I ordered "crispy buffalo wings". Tried to at the bar so I could order a drink, was redirected to the host stand. Placed order. Redirected to bar to order glass of wine. Bartender takes order of gentleman next to me. He orders a drink and FOOD TO GO. what is happening here? I place food order 15 minutes before the gentleman. He receives food 5 minutes before me. Wings came out spongy & weak. I could see this mistake if the bar/restaurant was full. The bartender was more concerned cashing out her tickets @ 9:32pm since the kitchen closes at 10pm. Lazy horrible service.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were sitting on top of the grits, grilled, seasoned and yummy. They were the only items in the dish that tasted good. Some kind of weird red sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms and A Lot of bacon!? Just wasn't good. My son got chicken alfredo. The sauce was very thin and didn't have any flavor. The chicken, where it was seared, tasted burnt. We definitely will not go back. $50+ for two dishes that were not worth eating.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and the breakfast buffet for two mornings. Let me start with the dinner and I was planning to get steak and a salad, however, there were many glowing reviews about "Chicken Danielle." I understand why that is a favorite because the chicken with dill sauce, rice pilaf and mixed vegetables were perfection! The buffet for breakfast had a good variety and freshly prepared for both days! The service from the staff and the view of the lake were great also! I will return!

Food came quickly with plenty of refills! My server was Wonderful! Checking on my progress regularly and seemed genuinely concerned that she was doing all she could to make my visit as positive as possible. I came from a different hotel to eat there because the reviews were favorable. So I decided to try it myself and glad I did! Everything tasted Wonderful! The service was the icing on the cake. Keep up the Good work!

Everything was wonderful! We ordered wings, the teriyaki was a bit salty but the buffalo was perfect. Chicken Caesar salad, which was perfect, ribeye sandwich which was perfect, cheeseburger was pretty good and pizza which was good as well. We had a good serverbas well. Can't go wrong with this place. Nice intimate dinner that was good at a pretty good price. Kids menu was good as well.

Great evening with decent food for a hotel bar and grill. If you don't want to run around the area to find the best of the best the piney point bar and grill is a great option for a hotel bar and restaurant. With friendly staff good drinks and food it's hard to beat when you just want to stay close to where you lay your head down at night.
