This was our best dining experience of 2025. The food was amazing. The service was fabulous and the owner came over and chatted with us. The bartender even made me a mocktail to my request. Thanks for a great evening, Lisa and Katie.

As usual the service, food and atmosphere were very pleasant. The flat iron steak and shrimp and grits were superb. I highly recommend the biscuits, too! Previously, I had the angel biscuits which were light and delicate. The current offering is Buttermilk Cheddar biscuits which are rich and dense. Both are good. There was also a nice draft beer selection. I hope to try the short rib stroganoff next time.

Lovely local place with a pretty bar, table service, the owner usually present walking around, and a very nice staff. Parking can be difficult try the lot across the street after hours.

READ BEFORE YOU MAKE RESERVATION HERE.

We had made reservation through Tock/Google with a refundable $20 deposit. The policy clearly stated that the deposit secures our booking and will be applied to our final bill.

After our dinner on February 14th, when we didn’t see the refund on the check and inquired about it, we were told about some system limitation. The waiter assured us that we should expect this to be refunded to the credit card that we used to book the reservation. He even went on to say that there were two other guests in the same situation that night and it’s always better to call the restaurant to make reservations.

One week plus have passed and I’ve been calling their phone multiple times since Feb 20 and have sent an email on Feb 21st. No response yet.

Plum, your online reservation clearly has some issue but please make sure that your phone is working or someone is attending the calls. What an awful experience?!?

The biscuits and potato croquette we mentioned were not bad. Again, the golden beet salad we all shared was quite successful. However, we were a little disappointed in the main dishes. Salmon was the most tasteless salmon I ever ate. They forgot the meat in the short rib stroganoff that one of my friends said. They added it later.

The employees are interested, the environment was nice.

Had a reservation on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was not filled. The ambiance and decor is good, but that's where the good things end, especially if you have a child. No highchair or booster seat available. The staff said they would try to figure something out, nada. No kids menu (which is fine) but no option or offer to make anything on the menu a bit more kid-friendly (no the pasta cannot be made without bacon). Felt like we were bothering the waitstaff for the couple things we needed (could we have a straw for said toddler, they brought a cocktail straw [lol what] first before we had to clarify that he needed a normal sized straw). I don't expect a restaurant to bow down to a toddler when we visit an establishment but I was pretty surprised that Plum was this ill-equipped.

A couple of people in my party have allergies- warning, there are no menu substitutions allowed here. I feel like this is ridiculous, you can't sub in a potato that is offered throughout the menu or just have double of the other side that is already being made? Nope, just had to remove it but pay for the full menu item.

Finally, the service and actual meal. Took a really long time to get the food (past the 25+ minutes they ask for when ordering the half chicken) and wow it was bland! My group commented that Red Lobster cheesy biscuits are better than the option here. No real check ins until the hostess (?) came to see how we were doing. When bringing the bill they said the service charge doesn't go to the servers.....what?? I'm not an expert but I think it's there to help the entire staff.

Overall this is a place that acts like it's too cool for you but falls way short on meeting any kind of basic/reasonable expectations.

Dietary restrictions: not willing to compromise or substitute menu items due to allergies or other restrictions

Need 3 things: filtered water, IPAs and get rid of the stupid 20% surcharge that is not on the menu or the website. We asked if it could be taken off, but no! A stressful end to what was supposed to be a celebration dinner.

Great experience all the way around. From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed by all the staff whom was very polite and friendly. Our waitress was amazing; gave us some great food recommendations and very attentive. The owner came by a few times to chat with us and you couldn’t have spoken to a sweeter person. The food was fantastic! Definitely recommend the Pork Belly and the Shrimp and Grits. Lastly, the decor and ambiance was nothing short of beautiful.

Our meal wasn’t worth 200 bucks. It was a great ambiance. We were taken aback by the amount of extra fees. Food is okay. I’d go back just to drink at the bar and chat.

Came here with a buddy for dinner and drinks. The food and drinks were pretty good, but the cost was quite expensive. I don’t think the food warranted the price. For that reason I will not come back. Dinner shouldn’t have cost me $120.
