Sake Bomb comes off as more of an Asian Fusion restaurant rather than traditionally Japanese given that they have several items that are Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese.

That isn't much of an issue either, considering that I have mostly positive things to say about it. The Sushi is varied, fresh & delicious. Their noodle dishes are a large step up from other Asian restaurants in the area.

Service was lovely, and my waiter was kind, attentive, engaging, and had a deep knowledge of the menu items, and could tell me much of everything about it. The dishes use fresh ingredients, and very little use imitation substitutes.

The restaurant was clean, and had a warm atmosphere. I will be revisiting soon, to better understand their menu, and possibly change my review if I'm impressed.

The exterior and the section closed off with police tape looked a bit sketchy, but once inside, we received excellent service and enjoyed delicious, affordable sushi.

2 of us Arrived at 915 and they close at 10 pm. Host was very welcoming and friendly. Got the pork dumplings, beef pho, apple sake and a mixed drink. Environment was very clean and kept up well. Dumplings and Pho were awesome. Service was fast as expected. It was the first time we had it. Apple sake was nice and fruity. Very easy to drink and only 8% alcohol. Highly recommend this spot.

Walked in for lunch at 12:37pm. Didn’t get my drink until 1:10. Service was very slow considering there were only 3 tables of patrons. Wesley disappeared a lot & it was hard to get his attention. I was waiting to check out for 10 mins before he appeared.

This is one of my favorite spots to eat in Durham. Their scallop Massaman curry is the bomb! The staff are great! The atmosphere is chill. They’re not too far from UNC Campus, I sometimes drive here for a quiet place to work and study. Support small businesses and Check them out!
