Decided to try the salt box !!!!! Have been watching the reviews seem like a good place to eat some good seafood?¿??paid 60$ for two plates!!! The whitey plate was no good very gritty crust and full of bone in every bite and the crispy potato were a handful of soaking grease I'm sorry but this is not worth the trip!!!!!! But very clean and the workers seem very nice but the food needs some work??¿????

Treveon is excellent at customer service adding to the friendly atmosphere and delicious catfish and collards. We're "hooked" on their fish!

I ordered a combination of shrimp and grouper (weeks ago). Honestly, the food was salty, and I felt that for the portion I received, I should have paid less. The grouper was cut into chunks and mixed in with the shrimp (the tartar sauce is good). I was actually expecting filets, yes filets, of grouper with the shrimp. I couldn't finish the food. I wanted to like this establishment as much as most seem to as I was/am looking for a new seafood spot. The customer service was great, and the atmosphere was nice.

Absolutely fantastic seafood restaurant. Has long lines, but it’s worth it doesn’t have a ton of indoor seating so you might want to get there early, but the food was impeccable and the prices were pretty good absolutely worth going to one of the best in Durham.

We tried 4 different fish (catfish, grouper, trout, and mahi). They were all INCREDIBLE. And the portions were very fair for the price. The potato side was super unique and delicious (are they chips or are they fries??). My biggest regret is driving past this place for 3 years before finally trying it.

We ordered a shrimp plate, and an oyster plate from there yesterday. The sides were potatoes and the zesty slaw.
The food was overpriced and very disappointing. The shrimp and the oysters both were overcooked, oily, lacked flavo, tasted like they were cooked in old oil and generally just not good.
I would recommend another establishment if you're looking to satisfy your seafood crave. Very disappointing.

My go-to restaurant when I’m looking for something casual in Durham. Amazing food with a lot of unique flavors — even in their tea, lemonade, and hush puppies.

Some of the best Calabash style seafood you will ever eat and from a James Beard award-winning chef no less. Only drawback is that even though the quality and taste of the food is what you'd expect from a high-end (meaning 4-star or 5-star), fine dining establishment, unfortunately, so are the prices! The other day I had an oyster roll topped with their tangy coleslaw along with a side of hush-honeys (their version of hushpuppies) and a soda and, even though, it was enough for a meal and a half or two meals, it still cost $28!

Like stepping into a shack off the beach. Calm jazz greets you as you enter. Never been here before so I asked for a recommendation from the cashier and ended up with the Platter including sprouts, fried flounder, and grilled Mahi. Fantastic all around. You can make it cheaper if you have the ability to pick only one type of fish for a roll. Hidden gem is the mustard sauce on the side. Don't sleep on it. Kind staff. great place to eat. Excellent food. Ricky Moore, you've done something great in Durham, my man. 10/10
