DELICIOUS !!! The absolute BEST Chicken and Cheese Empanada is right here and has been for decades!!! It’s been a minute since I’ve been at Sarah’s and yesterday I stopped by and had the absolute BEST Chicken and Cheese Empanada with 1/2 rice 1/2 beans!!!!! I was delighted and craving it today !!!! If you’ve never been to Sarah’s or have not been to Sarah’s in a bit, GO!!!! You will be delighted with the delicious food (BEST EMPANADAS I’ve ever had in Wake county!!), excellent pricing, delightful owners and team and a very clean and charming place!!!! OG Sarah and her hubby would be so PROUD!! I know I am and look forward to my next trip to Sarah’s !!! Btw, their spinach and cheese and ham and cheese were also delicious !!!! And they have frozen to take home and enjoy with your family !!!! Love love love Sarah’s !!!!!

I was over the The Brown Jug and myself and a bunch of friends ordered food from here. They had all placed online orders and I walked over with them and placed an order for just Yuca fries. It was literally two people working, CRANKING out this food. Did we have to wait, yeah, was it worth it 1000%. Everyone's orders were correct and DELICIOUS. They have like 10 tables inside, and a large list of options for empanadas. I literally only had the yuca fries and they were glorious. Crispy, hot, soft with that nice starchy texture I love. My friends all kept raving about their empanada's so I hope they also leave a review. Do NOT sleep on Sarah's Empanadas, a must try for sure!

Sarah’s Empanadas is hands‑down one of the best hidden gems in Durham. The customer service is always warm, fast, and genuinely kind, you can feel the pride they put into everything they serve. I tried 2 empanadas: first Bolivian version: good size, ample filling and very tasty. Second Colombian version: smaller, crunchy &tasty. Nice staff as well. And yes I’ll return and recommend the eatery.

I picked dinner up from Sarah's to take next door to Glass Jug. I was just looking for a quick meal but found this gem instead! I got a papusa and an empanada and they were both delicious and very generous portions. I can't wait to try all the different empanada flavors and the sides.

This place is a gem! The food is sold at a really great price and is delicious! I got the jerk beef empanada with sweet plantains as a side and my boyfriend got the pork pupusa with a chicken empanada, and omg it was DELICIOUS! The pupusa was really great and was a bigger size than we thought! The jerk beef empanada with the red salsa was phenomenal and with sweet plantains? The best combo of spicy and sweet! Definitely recommend for a yummy meal
