I googled seafood boil and this one came up. I was reluctant when I saw it was on broad street. Not knowing it was the side by the hospital or 9th st.
I was glad I went. Took my son there for the 16th birthday. Thinking he might want to try a seafood boil, but he did not. Instead I did. It was plentiful, fresh, seasoned well, place was clean even the rest room. From what I can tell a decent location with even an out front deck. The customer service was spot on. We got there a little past 8:00 pm Saturday and they close at 9:00pm, so again a little Leary, food would not be fresh but to my surprise I had NO complaints. Everything was cooked to order and sho nuff, sho nuff made me a believer. And it did not smell like food (fishy or fried).I am glad the reviews were good and I did not let the street name persuade me some where else.
I have already advised other people it is good and the Cole slaw was excellent.

Very pleasant and a decent value for a $15 tray. But nothing special. We had shrimp, Flounder, FF, cole slaw, hush puppies, Collard Greens and red beans w/rice. It was all just OK. Of those I listed, I enjoyed the red beans and rice the most which says a lot for a seafood place. If we lived closer we MIGHT try it again thru takeout but not making a special drive for it again. We arrived right at opening and the girl at the counter as fantastic and provided great service after the sale as well. Oh,
Must purchase bottled drinks only, which makes bill go up quick. Even the water. We added a piece of cake which was great but provided by an outside source.

Food and service was great! However, for an older person with high blood pressure, the food was way too salty for my taste. I may go back and try the salads
Dope spot and the seafood is always fresh!

Best local seafood place Ive been to in years. Garlic shrimp w crab cluster was delicious. Corn and potatoes with the garlic butter are unmatched. Portions might pack on a lb or two, but so worth it.

Understand that I'm a weirdo who doesn't like seafood or fried food, and I are ALL my fried shrimp. If I go again, I'm going to have the garlic shrimp. They do it right. Very generous portions.
The food service deserts and strawberry lemonade is sho nuff the best seafood around

The fried shrimp at this place is excellent. Well battered, cooked , and seasoned . The chicken is also really good. The wings are big, and they were well flavored. I tried the lemon pepper and the hot lemon pepper. The service was also really good.

From the moment we walked in, the customer service was absolutely superb! The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of good vibes. The gentleman who took our order was not only polite but downright hilarious and so personable! He made the whole experience feel like we were dining with family. I think he was the owner!
And the food… WOW! Every bite was out of this world — hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything was made with love and care.Yes, treat yourself to the favorable drinks and the decadent cake! You will regret it if you don’t!
I’ll definitely be back! Or should I say my husband will be back to pick me up a plate bring me a plate on his way home from work!

We were visiting Durham area for the weekend and stumbled upon this place. Fairly decent sized location with some indoor and outdoor seating with no frills if you needed something you have to go to the counter . I don’t know if that’s the norm but didn’t mind . Staff were friendly .The menu has several delicious options. They seem to package everything in to go boxes even though if you are dining in. We ordered two platters OMG heaven ! Our Seafood was full of flavor and those sides were yummy . Prices were fairly decent . Before I left I decided to get some cake to go thank god I did ! The carrot cake was amazing. I ordered red velvet also which was good but definitely didn’t have anything on the carrot cake . Brought a piece home to jersey for my daughter and she killed it 😋

Things have changed including the price increase. I ordered a 6 piece wing dinner with collards & garlic potatoes, it came to 17.49 on last Wednesday, I thought I would never say this: the food was awful, too much salt in the veggies & the chicken wings are no longer the whole wing but the small party wings, I was truly disappointed😡!
