The kind young man at the register (with cornrows) gave stellar service, and was very professional. It was my first time at the franchise, and he answered all my questions about the menu perfectly. I’ll pass this place onto some of my colleagues. Great place to eat.
Great smash burger that looked almost as good as the photo! The service was great and fast with all hot food. Restaurant was clean and not very busy when we arrived at 430pm on a Thurs.
They food is always great I order online and either have it delivered or come pick it up but the service is bullshit the young girl at the counter is rude and talks about the people in the restroom And she rings them up and on top of that she has never actually rung the food up correctly it’s irritating when this happens to be your go to for lunch during work... even after they gave me the food i asked for they still did not make it right it was missing half of what it was supposed to come with.

This place used to be awesome. Not so much anymore. The swapped the chicken fillet for ground chicken, which is cheaper, and it is terrible. And a lunch for 2 that used to be $25 is now $35. And the place could use a good cleaning. The walls are filthy. What a shame, I used to look forward to going there but no more visits for me.

My travels often take me to the Durham area. Smashburger is less than 10 minutes from my hotel. On a seven day trip I will dine there over 50% of the time. The burgers are always hot and juicy. My family has been introduced to Smashburger and also loves it. The ladies are always curious even under pressured circumstances. Keep up the amazing job. Hardee, A.

As soon as we walked in the wife and I figured just above fast food and we werent wrong. It seemed like we were a bother to the person who took our orders. I had double burger, wife had breaded chicken sandwich. Both were almost unbearably salty. We ate in and our orders came out 15 minutes of one another. I had to ask a waitress where my wifes sandwich was. I had a eye on the counter. She went over and grabbed the basket that was sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes. The restaurant was run down, 1/2 the drink machines were out of order. Terrible experience for $32 bucks. Pass on this one. Chik fila would have been a better choice.

Where’s the rest?!! Ordered delivery - 2 veggie smash burgers and tater tots - very underwhelming. The food was cold, the tots were barely filled to the brim and the burgers were too salty. It would be in the restaurant’s best interest to mention that the veggie burgers are more like bean burgers and very soft to taste, there’s no texture whatsoever. We won’t return!

Decided to stop into this location on a whim, after a beautiful walk through Duke Gardens.
Cashier (kendall) refused service and informed my boyfriend and I that if we wished to order food they would POSSIBLY return to serving food (their job) around 5:30. (we arrived around 5 PM)
Being that this was our first Smashburger experience, my boyfriend and I decided to wait, and were then served closer to the 5:30 timeframe.
I requested the number to file a complaint from (Kendall) the cashier and she said she would go to the back and check her manager’s desk. She never returned.
Food is amazing if you are willing to risk the sub-par customer service!
