I really loved my iced chai that I got here. I got an iced chai with oat milk and vanilla and honey and the brand of chai that they used had a nice spice that wasn't too sweet. The barista that helped me was also very nice answering the questions I had about their seasonal flavors.

What a cute coffee shop!! I finally live on this side of Durham where I'm close to more stuff like People's coffee! It was mt first time visiting but I've heard a lot about it from my friends because they serve Smashed Waffles here and in college Smashed Waffles used to be my favorite place until they closed down on Hillsborough st at NC State. The outside was decorated very cute, like a lawn. It's a very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The inside is small so I'd suggest getting there early if you wanted somewhere to sit. They have barstools as well. I waited a while because there was only one person working. I had the Masala Chai Latte, and it was really good! I'd probably visit again.

I've been 4 times now and every time the waffles were charred so hard it was inedible... The last time I got coffee it was also sour and when I asked for extra syrup willing to pay the extra cost I was told by the man working it's not possible..??? I will say they do play good music but as I was sitting waiting for my food I noticed over a handful of dead flies in the fridge... it was repulsive. I also noticed how the trash was overflowing into the sugar packets. I will never return here. Very unorganized and unsanitary. Also, if you touch food please wear gloves. The same man who said he couldn't add more syrup to my drink was what looked like rolling some kind of dough with no gloves.... Disgusting.

Walked in, no greeting. Music blaring. The girl at the register was on the phone and completely confused so she had to get another employee to take the phone and still didn't greet me. I ordered. Insanely expensive. Over $16 for avocado toast and plain coffee and THEN she spins the iPad around for a TIP. AT THE COUNTER WHERE SHE DIDNT EVEN GREET ME. At this point, I'm so frustrated I can't see straight and should've left but I was hungry so I stayed and I tried to pay with CASH which apparently is a no-no and she said they ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE IT!! Never, will I ever return to this place.OH!!! And the menu said all breakfast items are served with fresh fruit and they gave me a salad for BREAKFAST!!!

Great place, buggy online ordering. I was staying at the nearby Hyatt and wanted some quality coffee, so I came by. The store was very busy but the woman behind the counter (didn't catch her name, unfortunately - she had long, colorful braids) was providing very good service. The coffee itself was good. I came back for a breakfast burrito a little bit later. Overall I was happy with the place and would recommend going there, especially if you work/live nearby. I docked 1 star for the online website. I saw you could save 10% if you ordered online, so I set up a profile. Unfortunately, the online site was buggy and so after I entered in my CC info, I realized I was charged much more than I thought I would be. About 10-15 minutes later when the receipt arrived in my inbox, I was charged for both an online ordering fee and a pickup fee! I am not sure if I could have prevented this by reviewing the receipt after I entered in my CC info, or if that's just how the website was built. At any rate, I'd recommend ordering in person instead of online.

Disappointed. Overpriced for quality and portion size. Also long line in cramped space with everyone looking for their food. Was really hoping the food was worth the wait!

Everything about this place was great, the people, the service, the unique approach to waffles and breakfast sandwiches.

My partner and I came on a Saturday afternoon for a quick pick me up. I've heard lots about their smashed waffles and knew I had to try! The interior was very cute and cozy - I could easily see myself coming here to study. We ordered the OG waffle and the quilted pig waffle - both were delicious but the quilted pig was my favorite. They waffles were pretty small though. I got the sweet cream cold brew with oat milk and thought it tasted a bit diluted, but was good nonetheless. Overall, we had a good experience and will be back next time we're in the area!

Waffle and banana bread was awesomeeeeee. the coffee was alright (5/10). Super nice vibe. However the service SUCKED.... I don't know the cashiers name but I've attached a photo of her and she was straight faced, serious, not welcoming, and it was just honestly an awful interaction. If I was the owner I would be disappointed having her here.

This is a regular stop for me on my way through the Durham area heading west. As others have stated, this is in People’s coffee, which utilizes the excellent roast of Black and White coffee roasters of Wake Forest NC.The waffle menu is excellent and both the sweet-topping waffles and savory waffle breakfast sandwiches are delicious. This is an egg and cheddar waffle, although the way it turned out, it looks like a wide-eyed animated turtle. The only reason I didn’t give the establishment 5 stars is because the to-go coffee cups could be improved in wall strength. I believe the steam from the coffee causes the slightly thin-walled cup lip to soften and lid fit becomes weak. I have twice experienced a coffee spill in my vehicle as the cup becomes topless as well. Once that lid pops off, and the cup lip is softened, it’s very difficult to snap the lid back on securely.I recommend that folks stop here and try the delicious waffles and get a careful cup of well-roasted coffee. My customer service experiences have been excellent.Lastly, this is a personal choice, but it seems a quality establishment such as this, could have a stamped logo on their coffee cup or heat sleeve. A printed logo would receive ad impressions on social media such as this review.~Beans
