I had turkey, rice green beans, macaroni and cheese. Everything else looks great. If you are in the Durham area stop in and try this restaurant. They are second to no one.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have one thing to say about the food here …THE PORTION SIZE OF THE PLATES You SEE ON INSTAGRAM IS THE ACTUAL SIZE PORTION YOU RECEIVE!!!🙌 the food here is sssoo flavorful and one plate with 2 meats and 2 sides is enough for 2 meals!! Customer service here is exceptional and the prices are more than reasonable! SOUL FORKING GOOD IS The TRUE HOME OF THE HEAVY PLATE!! 💯💯💰💰You can tell the food is made fresh and whoever said the yams were canned is trippin because they are definitely fresh and very yummy! I will definitely be returning!!! 🥰

I heard so much about this place I decided to visit on my next trip to Durham. I ordered fried whiting basket, fried shrimp basket and the turkey wing over yellow rice and a sliced of german cake, which I never received with my take out order. The lunch basket came with fries, which was ok. In talking to the staff, I was looking for someone to cater a holiday dinner and this prompt me to try the food. The staff was very nice and eager to provide the catering information. My son said enjoyed the shrimp basket. The whiting basket was a little bland, no favor. The turkey wing over yellow rice was horrible. Although the yellow was ok, the wing was tough, not sure if it was cooked properly. At any rate, I was very disappointed.
Just look at this plate! Yes, it was delicious, well seasoned, and very filling. You have to stop in and experience Soul Forking Good! Yes, I choose one jerk and one regular turkey wing! Amazing!

We decided to try this restaurant after seeing it on tik tok.. The portion was very good. The food was good . But a little on the salty side. I had the pork chop. Mac and cheese and callard greens. We will definitely try this place again and order something different. Much success with the business
