I came here with my husband and we were really impressed by the food and the atmosphere! It's been a while since my visit, but I was honestly shocked that I hadn't had the chance to review it. We got the smoked brisket plate, the jambalaya, and the gumbo. I think the brisket plate was out favorite item, but the jambalaya was a close second!! We are excited to come back soon.

Had lunch here on Sunday around noon and in no way did this place disappoint. The atmosphere was amazing, our server was super helpful and polite, and the food? Absolutely out of this world. I don’t even like cauliflower but my server recommended the hot honey cauliflower for an appetizer and it was great. The smoked brisket empanadas were one of the best things I’ve eaten all year and the banana foster was a great way to finish off the meal. This place deserves to have plenty of business every time they open their doors. 100/10 and I will be back to try other things on the menu

This paced popped up on an instagram page I follow. I Came by today and tried the brisket empanadas and the gumbo…. They were amazing! Not to mention the friendly customer service and small family owned vibe. I highly recommend this place if you like quality food and good vibes.
The fried cauliflower appetizer was AMAZING! All of the food was flavor. Fried catfish, smashed potatoes, slaw, jambalaya. Will definitely be returning! Service was also great and the staff was friendly

Cramped space. Uneven table kept moving. Food was simple and bland. Not flavorful like I was expecting. Restaurant was not busy but service was just okay. Disappointing. Not worth the money.

This place was OUTSTANDING!!! The service was excellent they just didn't have enough to cover the max capacity crowd. Food was impeccable. Mix high-end quality cuisine with southern charm/flavors at your local comfortable and cozy dive bar--VOILA-- SUCCOTASH! I highly recommend the smoked brisket plate and the rum cake dessert. And to top it off (on certain nights)...A LIVE BAND... I will DEFINITELY return! Oh, did I mention, I ate at the bar. This hidden gem is wildly popular. It's best to get a reservation.
Brisket is top of the line! Seriously was not expecting it to be this good. Southern born and raised IV had some great brisket but this was top of the line no doubt! Great friendly staff cool atmosphere and vibes. Hands down a great place to go!!
I had lunch here and it was so good I returned for dinner. The customer service is great! Food is delicious! We ordered the jambalaya and it was perfect! The gumbo has a kick and is very good as well. When I returned to dinner I got the fried chicken plate with potatoes and a side of gumbo and jambalaya again. The chicken is very crispy and delicious. The chicken is brined so if may be a bit salty to those who are not use to that just giving a heads up but we enjoyed it. My kids don't even like pickles but loved the homemade pickles and the pickled onions. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. There is outdoor setting which I imagine would be perfect in the spring. Easily one of my new favorite spots!!

We loved our meal at succotash. Everything was very well prepared and tasted great. I had the fried green tomatoes and my husband had brisket, which was actually tender (hard to find). We also had desserts which often aren’t great at restaurants and both the key lime pie and bananas foster empanada were excellent. Only down sides are it’s a tiny place (make a reservation) and so far only beer/wine no liquor.

Absolutely amazing! Service was really good. The smoked brisket was so tender I could barely keep it on my fork, and every single thing I ate on the plate was delicious. Perfect portions and presentation. My partner had the smoked beef brisket empanada and that also was amazing. Highly recommend!
