My favorite ice cream shop. The owner creates such unique Asian inspired flavors. Ube is my all time favorite. But truthfully, have not met one that they created that I didn’t like!

This is a cute ice cream shop and have to give props to Nat because I have been a longtime customer when he was at Sushi Thai. I saw that Sugar Koi received the best ice cream award recently so my son and I had to check it out. They make their own homemade Asian-inspired flavors like ube sweet potato, Thai tea, matcha green tea etc. Then the other flavors are all more traditional and from Hershey premium. I saw cute fish cones and beautiful scoops and ice cream options. We had banana pudding and strawberry fields in cups. There is indoor and outdoor seating and there is artwork to purchase from local artists adorning the walls. Service was great and customer-friendly. Next time I will try the homemade flavors. If you have a Go Play Save book, check it out for some savings.

I freaking love this place. The ice cream is so delicious and who doesn't love the little taiyaki koi! I tried this place when I came to visit NC months back, now I love around the corner and couldn't be happier! I don't think you can go wrong with anything here so try it all!

Wonderful customer service and environment! I mentioned that I was new to the area when I asked about the ice creams and they pretty much told me the full history of the store and of Cary! They even have homemade and vegan ice cream! Definitely want to bring over anyone that I can! Excited to go again!

The owner and staff are very friendly, the space is comfortable and also features local artists.
Amazing texture and unique flavours that are Asian inspired like hojicha, green tea, ube and sesame seeds.
They also have drinks, sorbet, milk shakes and more.
Will come back for sure.

Sugar Koi is hands down one of the best ice cream spots in the Triangle. The flavors are unique, rich, and clearly made with care. I tried the Thai tea and toasted coconut, and both were incredible. The highlight was definitely the warm, fish-shaped waffle cone; crispy on the outside, soft inside, and the perfect match for the creamy ice cream.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and they offer samples if you're not sure what to pick. The shop itself is cute and clean, with fun little snacks and drinks you don’t usually find elsewhere. You can tell the owner really cares about creating a great experience.
