We stopped by on a whim headed to dinner for my daughter's birthday. We were greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff and the atmosphere was very nice.
The selection was more than I expected, they had exactly what we needed for our small party. We got an assortment of cupcakes and a slice of cake that look absolutely amazing.
We never expected to walk in and find ready made cakes. in fact when my daughter asked about it, i told her it was a fake display cake - I was so shocked that it was indeed a strawberry shortcake.
We left with the 6 cupcakes, 1 slice of cake and that absolutely beautiful cake.
Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted just amazing as it looked. We shared a piece with our server at the restaurant and she raved about it as well.
We have had the cupcakes or slice of cake yet, but I'm certain it will not disappoint!

What a wonderful experience working with Dani and her mother on a cake for my daughter's baby brunch celebration! It was my lucky day to find the Sunflower Bakery while trying to find a place to order a cake in the Raleigh/Durham area. Since I live in Virginia, I needed to go strictly by the reviews and my interaction with Dani and both were absolutely spot on! She and her mom did a fabulous job on our cake and it truly tasted as good as it looked. Everyone was amazed at the decorating and the 4 layer chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling waswas a perfect ending to the event. People were walking by our table at the restaurant, commenting that it was the most beautiful cake they had seen. If you haven't tried the Sunflower Bakery yet, you should do it soon...it is bound to become your favorite! Thanks again!

WOW!! So happy to have found this bakery. I’m not one to frequent a bakery, at least I wasn’t. I am now! Don’t believe I’ve ever had a pastry as good as the Guava and Cheese - and it’s the only one I’ve tried so far (everything else purchased was a gift). Can’t wait to get back and try more.

I am such a procrastinator and waited until the day before my daughter’s birthday to order a custom cake. Thankfully, the staff at Sunflower Bakery understood and was able to save the day with a delicious strawberry/vanilla creation! Their superb customer service was such a stress relief!

I was here a few days ago, and the bakery did not disappoint! Everything I tasted was so fresh and delicious even though I went in right before closing. The dulce de leche coñonsitos were by far my favorite pastry that I tried here and had to get more to go. All the employees including the owner were extremely welcoming and made the service as easy going as possible for a first-time customer like me! Decoration was lovely and there was also a spot areas to take photos in as well as home-made trinkets on display for sale (I even got to take a photo with the employee Gabriel ??). Such a wonderful spot if you'd like to support a local Hispanic-owned business!

My hubby got me a last minute (day of) birthday cake and they were amazing!! I’m not a fan of dense cakes and the one he had made was amazingly light. Frosting too! The details were absolutely adorable and the custom topper such last minute was definitely a surprise. I will definitely be returning for any cake needs!
