Absolutely love this place!!! They are clearly passionate about the actual preparation of food. Requested customizations were accepted graciously and executed with the perfection of a chef who appreciated the request. The staff are amazing. I'm so upset I only recently discovered this place!!

Came last weekend for dinner before seeing a show at DPAC. Service was excellent and the server was very knowledgeable. An extensive tapas menus provided a filling evening. Every plate was delicious. The stuffed dates, and short ribs were our favorite. Cauliflower dish was ok. Steak chim with frites great too!

My new favorite restaurant in the area. Just perfect and divine. Went by myself and had a blast. Had the octopus, paella, and flan, all will recommend. Will definitely be back and trying the short rib and crab stuffed peppers. Only regret is I have only one

Underwhelming food, the 4 dishes we had were bland in both flavour and presentation. These felt like “ North Americanized” tapas dishes lacking character and flavour profiles. Disappointing there was neither attention to detail nor effort.Service was fine.So much potential, because the atmosphere is quite lovely.

We had a fantastic meal at Taberna Tapas, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding ! The ambiance of the restaurant is very comfortable and it's nicely located in downtown Durham. They have a great selection of both small plate and large plate meals. It's also a great place to go to for drinks and just appetizers. Our server had a deep understanding of the menu and gave us great suggestions on what we should order. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went Sunday night although it was full there was sit available at the bar which wasn’t bad, the chair was confortable (I like it when high chairs have backs) We ordered Arugula and jamón: was really good, Albóndigas in savory: well but I wouldn’t order it again, Steak in chimichurri: and before to order it I saw a review with this dish with chips so I asked if I can get the same but the guy said no, just comes w fries, which was weird, however the desserts were the best of the dinner Vanilla caramel flan and Dark chocolate mousse, delicious! To drink were Alona wine and wicked weed, in the menu should specify that the beer is no the normal beer if no w strawberry kiwi flavor.The bad thing is the restroom, just one!!

We were out for my birthday and my original reservations at another place got cancelled so I immediately checked Taberna and snagged one of the last reservations. There were 6 of us so we were lucky to get in because they were very busy. But let me say, this was an epic birthday night!! The atmosphere, the food, the service (Mary was our server) was simply perfection! We tried so many delicious items! My husband brought an ice cream cake with us and Mary not only stored it for us until cake time but took the time to get the cake out of the packaging, put the candles on and present it. Taberna is one of my favorite places anyway but this was one for the books!! Thank you to all of the amazing staff who stopped by to wish me a happy birthday.

The tel of us shared four dishes and a dessert. We left not stuffed but not hungry which was perfect. The service was very good but unfortunately the food was hit and mostly miss. The spicy shrimp was super bland. We barely detected any chimichurri sauce on the steak and the actual dish looked absolutely nothing like the photos online. However, it tasted pretty good but not great. The Brussels sprouts were flavorless. The best item was the been empanadas. Those were delicious.

This is our first time at Tabernas tapas . Great food and service , this is an energetic restaurant which we enjoyed. The wine list is good , we tried a couple of different wines and they were excellent. We will definitely recommend you to try it. We will be back soon

Lovely evening out. Fast service. Perfect when you have a show to get to!! Food was delicious. Beet salad, spicy potatoes, croquettes and churros. Perfect amount for two ladies without a huge appetite. Thanks for a great meal with my beautiful daughter.

disappointed with the seafood paella and Valencia paella. They taste decent but not a paella taste.the grilled squid was marinated in chili sauce that our server didn't know. So when we ordered without the chili sauce. it was still spicy. We like spicy when we order but we order it this way.the short ribs small plate was good

Wonderful service. Amazing cocktails. Super happy with how well informed the wait staff is here. They guided us in the right direction each time we had questions. Highly recommend the roasted cauliflower dish with the manchego cheese sauce! I do think next time we dine here, we will ask for a booth or sit at the bar. The 2-top tables are tight for this kind of dining. That being said, dishes were picked up quickly, clean plates and silverware replaced and really great service. Thank you!
Went for Valentine's Day and it was great. Some of the dishes weren't as flavorful as I'd hoped, but overall I was impressed. Seating was very scrunched together, but the service and ambience were outstanding. Wine was delicious
