Really really wanted to love this place. It's so close, I'd be here all this time if ot was really good and priced decently, but it's definitely a bit pricey. I tried it a handful of times anyway, sometimes with others, and were a bit dissappinted each time. Not the worst, not great.

MASSIVE torta cubana, super fresh and delicious. Among the very best I've had in Durham for sure.

Food is okay.. depending on what truck it comes out of. What the heck! On DD, there are two separate restaurants: Taco Ardiente, and Mexican JV American, but they are actually run by the same people! And their menu still differs from one another still, so I’ve tried both and never enjoyed Mexican JV. Didn’t order there again.
Now this is when I got frustrated.. if you call for pick up order (DD can be $2-3 extra per item), and you call Taco Ardiente, that’s what you’re expecting. I ordered my burrito bowl the way I always do thru the number I always call, and got asada bowl with no pico. First pic is what I always get, second pic is what I got today. And I don't like, and never even had before. I don't eat sour cream, there's no beans, the meat cut is different. Also, the bowl was $14, I gave them $20, and only get $5 back. That part I was able to let go, until I got home and saw the food I received, and was just disappointed with overall structure and service.

Excellent tacos, and even more excellent service! The birria and adada were both really great. The owner even offered us complimentary consome with our food!

For the B-1 friends who are nearby The place is Mexican and it does have parking but for the pure tractor...
Best tacos around!
Tucked away on the side of NC-55 Hwy, this non-assuming food truck is a neighborhood taco gem. Their birria tacos were so darn good and the shrimp burrito is to die for. They're a bit on the pricier side for a food truck but so worth it.

Just got home with my food from here, 17$ burrito with no beans or rice and it was small, no cheese. Will not be back. Very disappointed!

I had seen on Instagram someone making birria tacos. It looked so good I had to try it. I looked up the closest place that sold them. Taco Ardiente was closest to me. The service was pleasant they have a great food grade. The food will not disappoint. Its was so good and flavorful. I will definitely be going back. I loved it! I actually did not see the birria taco on the menu, but they do have it. It had a good crunch and comes with a sauce that you dip in. My son ordered the same. He loved it. My husband ordered just two steak tacos. He said it was delicious. ?

One of the best mexican food carts in town, just be careful when ordering at midnight. Thugs are hanging out by the bar and gas station just across the street, stay in the car unless you have your firearm with you.

I ordered the crunchy quesabirria with concumme and street corn. The qursabirria was good, but didn't look like the picture. Picture showed taco shaped portions and what I got was similar to a crunch wrap from taco bell. The biggest disappointment was the street corn. The picture shows that you get 3, full sized, ears of corn. Which makes sense considering the $10 price tag. Nope, I got 3, half-sized ears of corn.(see photo) 2 of them were the skinnier end of the ear, so they were smaller than the third ear. Also, when you quote a "side of lettuce, onions and pico"...it should be enough to go with the meal, not two bites.Lastly, $2 for 2 1oz cups of sour cream? Come on, even in this economy, this is robbery. I love the food, but not enough to accept such ridiculous markup.
