We love Indian food, even more Indian people and visit Indian restaurants quite often, more than any others. We will not be back to this location.I rarely bad reviews esp about the food industry, but I also know if you’re not sharing such feedback, mistakes will continue to be costly for a business as such poor service is unacceptable. Before you start reading, note that we were the only 2 people in the restaurant.Food is delicious (5 stars and all kudos to chef), service is less than one star. The waiter seemed surprise that’s we came in. We were served by 3 diff people and none would take back empty dirty dishes, so we were stocking them up.Bread came after our reminders when full dinner was served and none of 3 bothered to check that something important was missing.Sour lassi was made with either very very old or very bad ingredients, was warm and smelled like rotten eggs. We both tried it and left it aside. When waiters came - we told them like 5 times how bad it was. I had never tried sour lassi as bad as this one!No one offered replacement, nobody apologized. The only response was “we don’t put eggs in sour lassi”. (!!!!!)Obviously, there was no efforts to fix the situation (and obviously we were $ charged). No “thank you” for coming either. Not even “good bye”.We felt strongly that we were not welcomed there and I hope managers/owners who worked so hard to build this beautiful and welcoming place ((which we loved visiting since they opened)) does understand that with such poor treatment of clients, the place will be continuously struggling bringing customers in.I could point on many other issues, but you got an idea. Their management would strongly benefit from service training by higher ups. Or they just need to hire someone more caring.I hope upper management has a chance to read this and get it improved, as it was the whole point of writing this post.

Food was delicious, no doubt about food but depressing sad ambience.Very Lazy and depressed management. When we entered three people behind the counter just looked at us no one welcomed for couple of minutes. After having seats , when we saw them they were busy discussing something internally and seemed not at all happy seeing us there.Service is very bad... They don't know how ro welcome, greet and treat. Manu is poor and ambience was very depressed with blue light.Food was delicious, no doubt.Vegetarian options: Not much options other than the basics

I visited the Durham location of 'Tandoori Bites' after having a fantastic experience at their Fayetteville restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience in Durham was quite disappointing. I ordered the veg jalfrezi, hoping to relive the delicious flavors I had experienced before, but it was a total disaster. The curry lacked the authentic taste and quality I had come to expect from 'Tandoori Bites.' While everything else was just okay, the poor quality of the main dish was a significant letdown. My family and I have decided not to return to 'Tandoori Bites' in Durham, NC.

The most authentic Indian curry around that I've found. Lunch special has great options and delicious. I will definitely be coming back.

I had barely made the kitchen cutoff after working late. I enjoyed the food. I think I was too tired to remember much of it except the fabulous butter chicken.

We love the buffet! Unfortunately, the buffet switched from weekdays to the weekend. We still prefer this Indian buffet over all the other in the area. The buffet changes daily, and there's always plenty of good vegetarian and meat options. They also separate the meat and vegetarian options at the buffet, which I think is a big plus. Not all their food is spicy, but some is. If you like spice, this is the Indian restaurant to try.Vegetarian options: One section of the bar is completely vegetarian!Parking: Never an issue with parking

We tried the buffet and we were pleasantly surprised. A lot of Indian buffets we've tried have been watered down in the dishes they offered. This place was full flavored and amazing in the dishes they offered. The only thing was that I've never been to a buffet that did not have naan as part of the buffet, so keep that in mind. However, highly recommend.

Wow ! Seriously amazing Indian food ! Definitely the best I've had since leaving England 10 years ago so that's saying something . And the service was fantastic too. Lovely people and great lunchtime buffet including weekends at a very reasonable price . This is going to become one of our go tos for a great family dining out experience. Highly recommended .

The atmosphere of this restaurant is very inviting. It's nice and cozy. The owners had excellent customer service while we dine in. They checked up on you to make sure your comfortable. We had the lunch buffet. It was very delicious. They had a variety of dishes to choose from. I definitely love the lamb samosas. I look forward to stopping in the future! Thank you. Many blessings

Atmosphere: Tandoori Bites has a dark and cool interior. When we went on a Thursday dinner and there was no wait. Service: Our food came out quickly, and our servers were attentive throughout our meal. Food: We ordered the Mango Lassi, Fish Vindaloo, Chicken Korma, and Garlic Naan. The Mango Lassi was still a fruity and refreshing treat before our meal. The Fish Vindaloo was very flavorful, and the fish was soft and light. Our one complaint was that the sauce was rather acidic and tomato-like for our taste and overpowered the flavor of the fish. The Chicken Korma was creamy with a decent number of tender chicken bites. Overall: We enjoyed our first time at Tandoori Bites. The Mango Lassi and Chicken Korma were both very good, and while we did enjoy the Fish Vindaloo, we might opt to try a different dish next time!
