Went for lunch buffet and was pleasantly surprised by everything. Great food, peaceful ambience. I have been coming here for about 10 years and have never had food this good at this place before. Something has definitely changed and its working. Nothing felt stale as the usual buffets at other indian restaurants. Good number of vegetarian options that all tasted delicious. Fresh bread basket full of super soft breads was the cherry on top.
Very polite attentive staff, felt like an efficient family-run business by people who care. We will be coming here more often.

My friend and I visited for the first time, and it was also my first time trying Punjabi food and I absolutely loved it! We had the goat curry and chole bhature, and oh my god, it was fabulous. So flavorful and satisfying! Definitely we will be back for sure!!

Had the chole bhature at Thali Indian Restaurant and they were absolutely amazing – perfectly spiced chickpeas with soft, fluffy bhature. Lovely, the manager, was so sweet and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back just for this!

I ordered the curry lamb, but I truly believe that the meat wasn't lamb. If it is lamb, then it's the worst-cooked lamb of all time. It's beef because I have never seen lamb this chewy. I am not a food expert or anything, but I have been eating lamb my entire life. That's NOT lamb.

This is by far one of the best Indian restaurants in Durham. The flavor is out of this world!!! You can taste the fennel, coriander, curry. The people here are beautiful as well. The food was fresh and hot. But wait , THE GARLIC NAAN!!!!! I ate myself into an oblivion. I’m coming back!!!

Malai boti was one of the best Malai I have had and the sauce was delicious too. And the Dhaba Style chicken was just total homemade. Love it. Even our 4 year old and the 8 year old enjoyed at the fullest. Definitely coming back.

I just had the best experience of my life at Thali. The customer service was spectacular; the staff were friendly and caring.
Let’s talk about the food now….The food is genuinely very, very delicious and authentic North Indian. It’s not too oily/creamy or overly salty, like i’ve had at other Indian places. This food touched my soul!!! It tasted like authentic North Indian home style cooking, not your basic cookie cutter and not like typical commercial “americanized” indian food. I can write an essay about it. It was very flavorful and tasty, just like my mom cooks back home. I will definitely come back again with my family!!!
Thanks a lot for this beautiful experience, Thali🙏🙏

I had a very disappointing experience yesterday. I purchased sweets for my family, only to find that nearly half of them were clearly stale. The sugar had crystalized, some items had a sour taste, and the bottom wrappers were stuck due to excessive sugar crystallization. A few pieces even showed signs of rot, with small black spots—I recorded a video for documentation.
What’s most concerning is that the owner still chose to sell these sweets, fully aware they were unfit for consumption. This reflects a serious disregard for customer health and trust. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to be cautious.

Amazing food!!
Great food and service! The staff were friendly and helped us with excellent recommendations for new dishes to try. We had the Veggie Samosas, Basil Curry, and Garlic Naan. Perfect to split for a light dinner. Incredible value and we look forward to coming back soon.
