Tea was literally just ok and the lady working the front was weirdly standoffish and unhelpful but as soon as two Asian guys came in behind me… she lit up? lol weird. I won’t be back

Really loved their Sago and Bubble Tea. Not many places do those right, they're usually just all sugar and no flavor but The Bean Flower made it so well! Highly recommend you try those!

We felt so welcomed here — it truly felt like home! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They even made me a Vietnamese coffee with dairy-free condensed milk, something I’ve never had before, and it was amazing. We also loved how they took the time to chat with us and recommend other spots nearby with dishes similar to what we enjoy in Vancouver. Such a thoughtful and authentic experience — we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely space! Fun Asian drinks, friendly staff, and a very community-oriented place. It was very quiet on a weekend, but I can see myself coming back to do work/crafts/read. They sold some lovely arts and crafts and I really can see this becoming a sort of third place for myself!

The best boba in Durham. The jasmine tea is amazing. They have lots of great desserts, including silken tofu and drink syrups made in house and you can taste the love that’s put into it. I love the monthly special flavors and weekend special desserts. The store also hosts many weekly events (check their instagram) and overall has just the best community vibes. You must try this place out!

I love coming here. Super cozy and quirky aesthetic plus lots of unique treats and drinks! The menu also constantly has new specials which makes it a fun place to come back to and try new things.

I got some boba here, and they have so many alternative milks! I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate them having coconut condensed milk… as someone with allergies, it makes you feel like someone actually thought about how to make the drink as good for you instead of just settling for a substitution with half the ingredients missing. Thank you for that!

The Bean Flower is a small and cozy hangout place that sells teas, desserts, and clothing. It has a very homey vibe. However, if you're not of Asian descent, don't speak an Asian language, or are looking for a place to get in and out quickly with a short order, this not the place for you. The service was exceptionally slow when I visited although there were only a handful of customers in the cafe and the cashier station was fully staffed. I also got the sense because I wasn't Asian that I was not completely welcomed in the space. It's a shame because I love learning about Asian culture. Oh well, not every place can provide great experiences.

I was craving a Thai tea on my way to food shop when I discovered this place!! It’s a nice cute shop with handmade syrups and toppings , and a section where local artists can display their work! the Thai tea didn’t even last 20 minutes it was so good.

This place is awesome! So far I’ve only gotten the Es Cendol, and it was delicious! I am Indonesian and es cendol is an Indonesian dessert. There really is no Indonesian food here in NC so it was so nice to see something on the menu that reminded my of my hometown in Queens,NY and took me back to the comfort of being round my family. The flavors were so spot on too!

I’m looking forward to trying their bubble teas! It looks to be homemade and none of that powder stuff (I’m so tired of those 😫 haha), so I can’t wait to go back soon!
