This has a very nice coffeehouse vibe. Free WiFi. Lots of variety in sodas, beer & wine in glass coolers along the walls upstairs and down. The food is excellent. I had the Big Kids Grilled Cheese sandwich and the Thai Dragon’s Milk soup. I will come back again.

The vegan choices are very good!
This is always a wonderful place, to eat. I came to Study This morning, and walked down stairs to where I was the only person. I sat down at a booth in front of the bar studied, and watched the Jimmy Carter funeral (RIP). Which was already ON. About 45 mins later two people come down and sit at the bar and proceed to speak poorly of the program, and then ask it to be changed by the manager who accompanied them down stairs. I politely say that I am watching the program. and then is proceeded to be made to feel "othered" Less than, and invalidated by wanting to watch something that was already Playing. I will chose to spend my Days off somewhere else where I will not be treated in such a manner. As a person of Color this is so disheartening.

Finding vegan food is not easy. Common Market has several options. The place is laid back which is a must for me.

Great sandwiches! Very unique and interesting flavor combos. The soup is very good quality as well. Everything tastes homemade, and it's fresh.
You will not regret it!

Been here twice in a week! Food (and vibes) is fantastic. They have gluten free bread; biggest hack is to make your own sandwich with the gf bread!

A very unusual place that combines many contradictory things.
The interior immediately catches your eye. Whoever came up with this clearly tried very hard. It turned out great! Then it became interesting to observe how different the contingent gathered in this place. And everyone is different in their interests and age categories. The inside of the establishments is a separate form of art. They cover, if not all, then most of the clients' needs. The only negative, which in my opinion is quite unpleasant, is the smell of the toilet. Although there is only one there in this entire room (on the ground floor in the corner), but sitting upstairs at a table with a cup of coffee you don’t want to smell the toilet.
Vegetarian options: Maybe we can pick something up
Dietary restrictions: Maybe we can pick something up
Parking: There is parking right next to the building
Kid-friendliness: Yes, you can say that
Wheelchair accessibility: There are all conditions for wheelchair users

I recently had breakfast at Common Market in Durham and really enjoyed the experience! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff who made me feel right at home. The food came out quickly and was delicious, and I appreciated the ample seating options both indoors and outdoors—great for enjoying a relaxed meal in a bustling environment.
One note is that since they have multiple vendors, you may need to check out separately for food and coffee, but it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the overall positive vibe and quality. Highly recommend for a great breakfast stop in Durham!

Came here after hiking Eno and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. I got the Alabama Grinder and it was honestly the best sandwich I’ve ever had. HIGHY RECOMMEND. Will absolutely come back after my next hike.

This is the sandwich place I’ve been wanting forever! Sandwiches are incredibly delicious, huge and very reasonably priced. The Smoking Hot Momma is the best veg sandwich ever. Staff is always friendly. Huge bonus that you can end your meal with Parlour ice cream. Doesn’t get better.
