The Glass Jug Beer Lab - Downtown Durham

Great, friendly place! Had a flight of unique beers and took advantage of whiskey Wednesday! Adam behind the bar was super welcoming and knowledgeable!

If you want the best low-key bar scene in downtown Durham, come to the Glass Jug. The staff is legitimately the best crew in the 919.

From a small and aspiring brewer in NH, I love to visit and try all breweries when I travel, and the Glass Jug does a wonderful job of providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The selection of beer and cocktails is great for beer lovers or those dipping their toes, and has options for those timid or even wine lovers. I highly recommend trying the exciting things like hard Ginger beer, something fun like these sours. You won't be disappointed!

Good beer and good vibes

Greeted by an unfriendly bartender, my wife and I ordered a frozen slushy and frozen margarita. The drinks furthered the disappointment as we paid $24 for two subpar drinks that were difficult to stomach down.

An unexpected, amazing find on the park. Get your locally crafted beer to go if you please. I’ve tried four different beers so far and all have been really good. So far the 40 East is my favorite. This place is definitely worth checking out if you like excellent beer. They have a large selection for a micro-brewery including sour and specialty beers. Love this place!

Update: I've tried a few more and all are exceptional. These guys aren't just making beer; it's obvious they are lovingly crafting it.

Awesome watering hole in the heart of downtown Durham. Great to grab a drink to carry out with you or hang out. Great service, very friendly staff, good background music. We will definitely be back.

I don’t come downtown much but every time I do, I’ll come and see these guys. This place is amazing always friendly and professional.

Great stop to enjoy Central Park and have great in house brewed beers from the Glass Jug. Enjoy a great beverage menu and company downtown. Perfect to grab a deck spot and watch or listen to live shows in central park.

We hosted our post-wedding brunch at Glass Jug and it was so much fun. We rented it on a Sunday morning and they generously opened early for us. Maggie and Kendra were our bartenders and they were amazing. They let us add centerpieces to the space as we wished and kept the drinks flowing. People ended up spending a lot of the day there because it was so nice out and there was live music in the park. We love the beers and the staff here!

I had a great experience renting out the taproom for a surprise birthday party. The Glass Jug rental coordinator was very helpful and the bartenders/brewery staff were wonderful and so much fun during the event.
