I ordered one of their specials, Ginger Peach Arnold Palmer. After 10 minutes, and multiple other orders being made and delivered after mine and seeing him prepping, I checked in to make sure I didnt miss my name. The barista said the tea takes 3 minutes to steep....fine, but it had been way longer than that. He quickly hands me my drink shortly after.
It tastes like straight unsweetened black tea. I mention I dont taste the lemonade and he says Arnold Palmers don't have lemonade, and they're just tea?? But he would add some in if it made me happy. Odd experience overall. Barista seemed nice but like he had no idea what he was doing. Likely won't be back

stumbled across this place when walking around prior to an event. Snagged a coffee, which was good. The vibe/aesthetic of the place were both nice. The two persons working were friendly and cracked fun jokes during the coffee producing process. would def go back.

They donāt accept money. I was shocked.
I went in and ordered an overpriced ice coffee (almost $5!?!) and when I tried to hand them a bill, was told the donāt accept cash.
Next time Iāll go elsewhere.

Loved our coffee and pasties! We also ended up ordering two of the apple bourbon cake slices- my sister called it life changing- definitely worth coming in to try it!

A good to sometimes great coffee. They have a good selection of drinks and the inside has a nice vibe to it. Usually has a nice crowd and have never had issues with orders or wait time. A great spot in downtown Durham
Lost its charm about a year ago. Looks like they cleared house and new team isnāt as experienced (no good training it seems like because no improvement). A girl used to be able to take aesthetic pics of her latte here!
They had a lot of roaches even then.. Iāve seen too many critters my last visit and Iāll spare the details about what my friend found crawling on those syrup bottles and by the registerā¦ i attempted to go back but have been disappointed
Even the times Iāve gone for a drinkā¦ I got served in glass with lipstick stains

Terrible. Terrible coffee. Burnt. This place is a joke. Walked in at 7:15am and the place is loud. The heavy set guy is yelling about something, talking so loud. He turns around and you are literally staring at his buttcrack. First thing in the morning and this is your greeting. Then it took two guys fifteen minutes to make my cappuccino. No line, just talking and doing who knows what? Finally I get the cappuccino and itās 16oz. I said āI ordered a 12 ozā to which he said āyou got an upgradeā with the stupidest smug look on his face. I kinda vibed him and said āyeah, rightā. Then I walked outside and tried to drink the giant cappuccino and it was burnt and blistering hot, totally over extracted, like your first attempt at making a cappuccino. I thought about it for a second, started this review and then finally just walked back in and put it on a table and left. Absolute disaster of a business. Thereās better coffee and service at a Sheets than the Oak House. Iām going to write the management. This was just not happening.
