Come here for the drinks only. Service was not great. Orders were not correct, staff at times no where to be found. Came off the roof to grab a drink downstairs and was weirdly tracked down by an employee who wrongly told us our bill had not been charged only to wind up double billed. Not a great night.

Think Schitt's Creek. This is a 1960s hotel redone... Very eclectic! We ate at the pool. Food, service and drinks were great. Definitely not what I was expecting, but fun and great!

I really wanted to like this but I would not stay here again. I was traveling with my teenage son, visiting local colleges, and to get two queen beds we were placed overlooking the pool/bar area. And the music all afternoon and evening at the pool bar was loud, even inside our room. And this was a weeknight. The music is supposed to end at 9 p.m., and it did within a few minutes of 9, but it's on until 11 (with DJ) on the Friday and Saturday, in case you're tempted. Our door had a half-inch gap at the bottom, so I stuffed towels in there to try and cut the noise, and help the A/C, but with only limited success. The hotel's location is nice, as is the staff, but unfortunately if you want to relax in your room, or go to bed early, I'd probably look elsewhere. Or at least make sure you're in a different part of the facility.

At check in, there wasn't a welcoming feeling and there was no information given on times the bar, pool bar or restaurant were open. Nothing in the rooms with any info either. There are hidden nightly parking fees that aren't anywhere to be found while making the reservation and they expect you to use a code each time you leave the parking garage and if it doesn't work, you have to hold up the line and get out of your car and go get them because they will not reimburse you.

The hype created by OpenDoor was unnecessary. The app said there was ONLY ONE RESERVATION AVAILABLE ALL NIGHT! I jumped on it! We were LITERALLY the ONLY people there other than the bartender. There was not even a host at the host stand. Food was fine...drink was fine. But the false escalation of the hype was uncalled for.

Here for business. Lovely staff, quiet on the 2nd floor. Pool area was relaxing. Only drawback is if you want a continental breakfast, it is not served. However, it is located in such a nice area you can walk anywhere and find a nice spot to eat any meal.

This property offers good location in Durham and the rooftop pool is nice. However a lot of room has no window and the hotel's recent association with Hyatt has failed to satisfy Hyatt loyalists. A lot of room for improvement on both hard and soft products.

Whether you need a place to relax for business or want a weekend getaway with family and friends, this is the Premier Hotel in Durham. Fun people, Good Vibes, Fantastic Culture! P.S. The room was immaculate, food was fantastic, pool was phenomenal, and the staff was professional… with a degree of southern hospitality that you can only experience in the South, yet many NC hotel chains lack. But Unscripted makes you feel like you are a Rockstar, returning for a much needed vacation amongst Family!

I decided to stay here due to all of the glowing online reviews. I wanted to like it, but I did not. The Good: Centrally located in downtown Durham; the desk clerk when we checked in (I think her name was Gia) was friendly, inviting and helpful. The room was clean (kudos to the cleaning staff -- I am sure work very hard). ----- The Bad: I did not like the "unusual" decor of the hotel...I felt like I was on the set of 1960s sitcom "Bewitched". I guess it's supposed to be chic, but it all looked dated. My room was very small & unattractive (why were there dark, out of focus Polaroid photos in a frame on the wall?) The loud music/noise coming from the pool grated my nerves. If you want to relax, this is not the place. I really expected more for the price of the room. Unfortunately, this was my first & last visit.

Many unexpected charges. Staff unfriendly at check in and when we walked down to ask about questions. Very poor selection for breakfast. Coffee only to drink. Unable to sleep because of noise from pool and pool wasn’t clean

Pool was not useful as it is party central and allows outside guests. No Hot Tub. Would expect more for what they boasted. The 2nd floor room was quiet as promised but offered no view at all. Per my reservation was expecting a corner view room but those are only offered if you stay on the pool level which is quite noisey.

The only positive experience was the front desk. Shout out to Gabriel. Other than that this hotel was dirty, smelled moldy, had false marketing and 0 windows in some of the bedrooms. Do not stay here.

Went for short stay, rooms clean and bed was amazing!! Went for a baseball game and want to return. In the center of town we walked everywhere. Enjoyed a few drinks at the Pour Taphouse. Overall a great time and will return.
